Let me start this off by stating for the record that I'm a member of the AD. I'm most likely going to *** off some of my Alliance members but I don't care. AD has held complete control of the campaign for a VERY long time. This makes it a very boring place to PvP. Also the current reigning Emperor has been doing so( at the time of this posting) for 27 days in a 7 day campaign. So for FOUR scoring periods there has been no change. I am sure Sura is a very nice person but the crown must be past to another. So to the cowardly weaklings that make up the members of the EP and DC, I issue you a challenge. Come take the six towers if you can, so that I or someone else can be crowned.

There are really only enough players to fill two servers and those servers are Thornblade and Chillrend. If you want a fight, go to those two or have fun watching paint dry on Haderus.

I think you're missing the point by a mile this has nothing to do with the 'cant' beat'em join'em' mentality it's that Had is a reflection of all servers current and past. Instead of having more players gradually join the pvp community we've seen a mass exodus and the only ones left are going to end up being the elitists who caused this in the first place then turn around and complain why there's no action to be had. Too many exploits were overlooked and the staff's inability to mete out action resulted in many players getting discouraged from playing if not outright unsubbing.

    Exactly.

HEY warriors of the DC on Saturday 9/6/14 you took Faregyl castle. It was a brilliant move and was well executed. Not only did to cut of most of the transitsus system, it also gave you an Elder Scroll. Kudos to you. The fight to retake the castle was a long, bloody, and well fought affair. I thank you for it, I also thank you because by you taking, and eventually losing it, you allowed me to claim Faregyl for my guild.

I noticed they made some changes to how scoring will work in just this campaign in the last PTS update. Almost no one has even made a comment. Tells me how little anyone cares about this campaign.

Personally, I like having this campaign to shuffle my characters around. I moved my EP characters out of Thorn to here so I could move my DC characters from Blackwater Blade to Thorn. Then my EP characters are going to BB, AD staying in Chill, because I like a challenge, but I also like having allies to play with..

A guildmate of mine ran into a lv10 and two lv11s who had never been to cyro and wanted to learn the ropes. So three of us from GnG, me and two v12s, took the bambies to Haderus for a 101 in resource taking.

Our guildmaster was jumped by an AD NB as soon as he left the safezone. We went to Rayles mine, but found two AD defending there. Went to Glade mine and took it instead. We farmed AD there for about an hour until a group of 12+ built up and eventually pushed us out with siege engines.

AD does not want a competitive server, they want buff server. But as long as I can keep farming them for AP I am fine with it. :)

Yes the quality of the typical AD player on this campaign are such that one with skill could make quite a bit of AP before being brought down by the zerg.

You missed a epic 3 hr meatgrinder at KC LM last night. Was fun until the snobby elites showed up to ruin things. I swear AD are pathologically obsessed with keeping Pact subdued. Last week I remember DC held a couple nodes around Brindle for hours that didn't get touched but every time we try some strategic misdirect or the like there's always 5+ AD waiting and another 10+ show up within minutes. It's nice to see both EP and DC pass triple digits for a change. haven't seen that since week 1.

At least 1 AD seems to realize the folly of crushing the competition 24/7. Boring to play pretty much a PvE game? You think it sucks for you because it's boring? Well imagine how you would feel if you fought tooth and nail the previous night to defend your ground only to return the following day to find all of that hard work gone (including your scrolls and they are all stacked up in the AD keeps) This is demoralizing and ultimately NOT fun for the competition. This is a game first and foremost that we are ALL paying for and if it becomes not fun then people will take their subs elsewhere leaving you AD to have ALL the maps and nothing but a PvE endgame. You AD are digging your own graves and killing off the game.

Maybe some of you AD need to go play another damn faction to even out the sides

Honestly, being on Haderus for one night (prime time mind you)... we spent most of the time at our gate fighting AD (at least 10-15) ... we only had 5 people when we got there. If we can't leave our base then we can't take anything. If AD wanted competition they would not gate camp. We finally got out... took a resource and defended it until a group of 20-25 AD showed up and took it... we were just 6 people then. My husband said that he does not want to PVP anymore because it isn't fun to constantly be beaten down. Being his first time in there, he was turned away from it quickly. Honestly, if things on Haderus do not change, we will not be back. I will be taking him to Chillrend, since my made is on Thornblade... that way he can see PVP and not just die every 2 minutes.

There is not supposed to be a 'dead' server. There is not supposed to be a 'buff' server. There is no PVE playground, PVP training ground, banana campground, or emperor farming servers. There is supposed to be PVP servers. PVP only happens when there is combat between two or more factions. If one faction decides to get greedy and hoard everything, there is no PVP. This isn't just restricted to Had. Now it's appearing on the high-pop servers.

Unless more people join the fight things are going to get progressively worse, and they remain so thanks to the numerous ability exploits that persist due to developer indifference. However as it stands the community will continue to dwindle unless major changes occur soon. Soon being within the week, not quarter.

Those of you complaining that AD isn't giving you enough of a chance need to get real.

I home on Haderus for the buffs. Simple as that. Not for competitive PvP -- for the buffs. I play there enough to reach third tier rewards and finish top 20, then I'm off to Thorn or Chillrend. If I have to camp your gate to accomplish this, then sobeit. I'd much rather a real fight, and a defense would be wonderful. But AP is AP, so I do what I must. There's truly nothing gratifying about this level of domination, it's just boring. But I've only got a week to get to 3rd tier, and on a dead campaign that leaves little room for mercy I'm afraid.

Ultimately I couldn't care less if you are having a fun time PvPing against us on Haderus or not. I didn't come out to make your day enjoyable. I came to exploit a broken PvP system that rewards players for homing on a campaign dominated by their own Alliance. Until that system changes, don't hate the player...

Well, enjoy it while you can because haderus will go away just like the others, then you will have to L2P without buffs. Until then you get your buffs and GnG gets to farm you for copious amounts of AP.

That's a lot of people to kill to make it to tier 3. I have a hard time believing there really that many logging in to EP or DC's base. You must spend a lot of your playtime there to earn, what? 3k gold?

LOL, L2P? You know not with whom you speak. I do believe it was you and your group of 10 or so that I wrecked by myself on a few failed attempts to take that resource (at Glademist, I think it was) when GnG made it's last farming foray in Haderus.

Unlike many most AD in Haderus I don't need the buffs to PvP, nor an all yellow map, but why wouldn't I abuse the system so thoughtlessly put in place? Honour? I've spent enough time on the other side of things, thank you. If anything, I'm guilty of needing the buffs to help with PvE. And I never chose this as my home because it was all yellow, I've been here since the beginning of day one and it just ended up this way.

There are EP regulars and on the weekend it generally gets a bit busier. They take a keep from time to time, though it doesn't last of course. On a good day I can make 100k and not bother with the campaign the rest of the week. So, lets say I spend five or even six days out of a month to ensure top rewards and buffs, the rest I do whatever. No-brainer if you ask me. Are there easier ways to make 3k gold? Of course, but not while making AP at the same time.

I'm really just playing devil's advocate here though. I know it sucks on the other side, I wouldn't have any desire to be in a competing Alliance, but blaming players on the winning side is asinine. Blame the broken system that encourages this, is my point.

Glade mine (yesterday) really was a charlie foxtrot, but those numbers you saw was due to a bunch of pugs showing up. Not sure which battle you are talking about but we took the mine, before any AD showed up. The pugs burned out/used up our camps, didnt replace any, and we couldn't rez. And you were not alone by a long shot, I had killing blows on 8 different people. Not sure why you feel the need to exaggerate. Btw, there was only 6 from GnG.

We moved to Warden Mine and thats where the real fun began. We wiped you guys a number of times and then faded away after me and another guy got the AP we needed to hit rank 15.

It always starts out the same way though. We take a resource, hit the keep a few times and wait for the one or two scouts to show up. Over the course of the battle AD numbers keep growing until we get over whelmed. I am homed in haderus, but my guild is in Chill so I don't get all the buffs you seem to need. :)

I don't have a need to exaggerate, which is why I didn't. I can tell the difference between solo defending and having a number of teammates helping. This probably occurred after you say you left though anyway. I just have you confused with someone else I guess, but your name seemed similar to the person I was thinking of who was also a templar. I earned my 3k gold in about 2 hours last week. Made 90k AP in addition to the 10k or so I had from earlier in the week. Yes the gold is pointless, it amounts to about an hour of PVP expenses for me but I've never been one to leave gold on the table.

The alternative is what? I'm penalized for homing on the campaign I play on, I earn LESS AP, and I've already been emperor so getting it again really means little to me.

Right now you get 150 HPs, 20% crit and 15% bonus AP not to mention all the scroll bonuses for homing on Haderus....short of a desire to get Emp, why would you home anywhere else?

I'm sorry but, all I hear is:

    Crying-meme.png

If you want to become Emperor, your best bet is doing it on a different server. You don't seem very proactive about wanting to become Emperor, neither putting in the time or effort. You don't have much time to PvP? Welp, sorry guy, it's not going to be given to you. Go fight for it on an active campaign.

Haderus is a dead, buff server. The End.

Yeah really MAOofDC is my internet name I will break it down so that you will understand. M.A.O. are my initials and I was born in, and live very near to, Washington D.C. Why D.C. because that is what us locals call the District of Columbia. I have been using this name for decades.
