Those are the people who ruin grouping, and are the reason I have no desire to do group content at this point.

Remove DPS checks, plain and simple. Plenty of other mechanics to use.

It's a TIMED Trial either way...

where a dress and a stick until you get in the trial and then switch

Then you got to post your FTC dps too, show them all your l33t 600-800 dps when everyone else is pulling out 1300-1500 dps.

adding a 1 is not hard

    It would go something like:

"What do you mean my screenshot is photoshopped? The 1s are always a different color and font to the rest of the numbers!!" :#

They want to do things as effectively as possible. Maybe they are trying to get good times or something. I barely do trials, but the best I've done was nearly kill the mage with a half experienced, half inexperienced group which consisted of myself and another stamina nightblade on DPS, and we did fine for our first time on the mage. We nearly had her until the tank went down and lost aggro on the axes, which proceeded to triple-team everyone one by one until the fight was salvageable. The fights were very well coordinated and, typically, as long as we dropped ultimates at the right time and did enough DPS while avoiding AOE spells, we'd win, even though a bunch of us were completely new. I was getting 800 sustainable DPS with bow and dual wield, and I'm sure I can do better with more experience. 95% of the time, I PvP, so I mainly burst from stealth and don't have much practice with sustainable DPS.

Anyway, it just proved you don't need to do stick and skirt to run trials as long as you have good strategy and OK dps.
The people who ask for skirt and stick know that stamina builds can get over 800 dps easily if played correctly.

The reason they still want skirt and stick is that they do not know whether your particular stamina build can get 800 dps (and they do not trust your assertion that you do have such dps). But if you are skirt and stick, they are fairly confident that you're a decent dps.

For example, most NBs start off dual wield. So if you see a skirt and stick Khajiit/Bosmer NB, you're pretty confident that he made a conscious decision to adopt a build that can attain a high dps easily. On the other hand, if you see a dw NB, there's a much higher chance that he's a v12 fresh from the craglorn grind with no idea how to do dps. In other words, skirt and stick is not a technical requirement, but a signaling mechanism.

But seriously, if they ask for skirt and stick, don't join their group. Instead join the groups that request 800+ dps, since these groups are willing to trust you.

@Aeratus, I can't help noticing the irony that a v12 player might be considered ipso facto "inexperienced," due to the ways that v10-v12 leveling is often accomplished. It's not that I don't believe it -- I do -- but it's sad, really. V12 should be a capstone achievement. Seems to me that Craglorn has missed the mark, and this is the result.

Block = Stamina, if you can not block the bosses heavy attack, you die and you have just wasted a rez and increased the timer for trials and pissed off 11 other players.

Until block gets moved to use a different resource, stamina based build will never be wanted as much as magic based builds no matter how much dps they can do. They need to make a new resource that is used for block and dodge roll only.

We do take a few stamina users on trails, but they have to stand with the tank, so the templars know where to drop Blazing Spear. A player out of mana can still block, a player out of stamina is dead
