How do you change your profile pic here on the forums?

I have tried many times to select a new profile picture, but no matter how I try to do it, I get nothing. I can get to the menu of pics to select from, but when I click on it, nothing happens, when I hit apply at the bottom, nothing happens. What am I missing? What am I doing wrong?

✭✭Go to your profile, then mouse over your profile picture. A dark overlay bar saying "Change picture" should appear. Click on it, and an overlay window should open with all the choices there are. Select one you like, highlight it with your mouse pointer, then click on it.
If any step above doesn't work, look whether Javascript is enabled, or if this site/domain is blocked by some script-blocking browser plug-in (can't leave home without one these days).Edited by KhajitFurTrader on September 4, 2014 3:40PM0 -

✭✭✭✭✭More than likely, it is a script blocker on your browser that is preventing this. I just changed my pic while making this post.Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

✭Certain browsers will not allow it. (if you can) use google chrome and it works fine. Change your browser and do what Khajit said and you'll soon have a new avatar

Araflin✭✭✭I had an issue with changing mine too. A couple of requests to CS eventually lead to a rep that asked for "my preference" in the list and they changed it for me.

✭✭Thanks, indeed using chrome made it work. Wonder why IE is not forum friendly....
IE isn't friendly to anything, not just forums... :P
On a more serious note, it's likely that some IE security setting or another simply blocks a crucial javascript functionality on this site. Microsoft has been trying to tighten the security thumbscrews a little more with every new IE version after 7, making it less and less compatible to existing standards (non-MS standards, that is). Sometimes the Compatibility View helps, unless it doesn't.0
