Gathering materials does nothing.
The term "farming" does not just describe gathering,,,, Hunting enemies and killing them for their loot (to vendor or deconstruct) is also "farming".
And my point still stands. You get more than enough loot by simple normal adventuring. Farming is totally unnecessary.
Motif farming is one thing, I combine it with mats for provisioning and daeric hearts and the other rare style stones.Woolenthreads wrote: »I guess I farm a little. It's aggravating that I still often find L1 recipes but rarely find L10/L15 recipes. I know from one of my other Alts that as soon as I level up I'll only find L20 recipes.

If that where true they would have already left Wildstar. Botters infest all games no matter what. ESO still has plenty of players.
They have lost a TON.... literally all my RL friends / family who played are gone.
There is some debate as to whether the gold farmers left because ZOS chased them off or because they no longer found ESO profitable and just moved on to more fertile ground. Truth be told, it's probably some combination of the two.
Either way, I hope the game never goes F2P. Nothing attracts gold farmers like a F2P MMO.

sometimes people get super bored and tired of doing quest after quest and want to mix it up a bit by mindlessly slaying enemies. Nothing wrong with it, you don't have to do it but some folks are add

The main argument here is that there profits were low or non-existent. There is simply no way to know this unless you are one of them. I highly doubt that they could offer so much and no players ever took advantage of it.
Give credit where its due. Thanks for winning the battle ZOS. A great many of us appreciate it and the game is better for it.

Go try to buy some gold off the internet. Bots are still alive and farming. Don't kid yourself. Guaranteed. They just aren't standing around in a bot train as they used to. They simply got smarter, as always. Name a game any game (MMO) there's bots. Easily proven by googling bots for that specific game. You are very naive if you really think they are gone or have never searched the internet before.

Not seeing bot trains not seeing spam. I consider it close enough

So true. When this game was first released, it was really bad. I understand that you will never be completely rid of bots but at least now they don't run the game the way they used to. +agree

That's not what your last post said.... you are backtracking now. Yes it's much better but i think thats mostly due to them going to more profitable games. The economy in this one stinks.

So stop trying to pretend like you weren't.
They are better in that they finally got rid of the very very ridiculously obvious bot trains that should have never been in the game in the first place. The fact that they failed miserably at keeping such obvious bots from the game in the first place should not be praised as an accomplishment. They finally did what is common sense.
You get a lot more purple and gold tempers from refining raw materials than you do from deconstructing dropped loot... Seriously, how often have you had purple or gold loot drop?MercyKilling wrote: »For the life of me, I cannot fathom why people farm materials when loot falls from the sky like mana. This guy gets it! I deconstruct every piece of gear I get (and will continue doing so until I have every crafting skill at 50 - I'm very close), but the vast majority of the tempers I get come from the raw materials that I refine. I don't spend any time specifically farming mats either - I just get my raw mats from my hirelings and from harvesting every node I happen to come across while playing.I rarely see purple loot and I'm not sure I've ever gotten anything gold (outside of 2 Imperial motifs that I found), even at VR 7 now.
I've had pretty good luck deconstructing stacks of raw material. I always check the guild traders for cheap raw mats. Once I found 20 raw jute for 150-200 g (I forget exactly) and refined them and got one embroidery and one elegant lining. Much cheaper than buying those direct, but I was considerably lucky in that case. But I think that's a much better gamble than just buying those tempers directly.
In a stack of 100 raw cloth material, I usually get 3-4 hemming, 1-2 embroidery, 1-2 elegant lining, and 0-1 dreugh wax. With other trait stones mixed in. And you can usually find that stack of material for around 2k or a good hour's searching.

Happened to me when I ambushed a guy who was jumping a wall. I fell for a bit and was back on ground. But was running about a billion miles an hour. Reset right away and it was gone. Many farmers were using it to level their characters fast.

Am i the only one here who cannot make any sense of what this guy is saying ??
It's like this guy cannot finish a single sentence and on top of that he translated his post from one language to another about 40 times before finally translating it to english, using a free translating software created by a first year programming student.
This post did not make more sense to me than saying something like :" OH !! Apple Gown Tornado !!!
