Guild Traders Bugged?

I have seen about five guild traders that have no dialogue, am not allowed to bid on, etc...

I feel as this has impaired our guilds ability to be more active in trading.

What's up with these bugged out traders as of this am ZOS?

I'm having the same issue, something is hinky with the kiosks. Can't bid on any kiosk, some are displaying tabbards and guild names while others are not. Some just say "bye".

Is no one else having this same issue? Or simply just not concerned about it (since guild traders are hit or miss atm anyway)?

Yes, they are (suddenly) quite broken.

The same thing happened two weeks ago when Monday's regular maintenance was skipped. After some tickets were submitted, the servers were reset and the bugged guild traders were fixed. I'm of a mind that Monday's regular maintenance should no longer be cancelled.

    ZOS...

So something is wrong with the traders...

How will this impact those who bid, those who failed bids?

Will my guild be passed over, because of these glitches? Are we to just suck it up?

I am curious because as it currently stands, my guild lost its vendor, and was unable to bid on a new...

The only issue with the guild traders I have is that some of them have next to nothing for sale. It could be because they have sold out but there have been several I've checked that didn't have a single item in some of the broad categories (i.e. nothing in Light Armour or Alchemy). If they are selling out, awesome, the system is working well! If it is just guilds hiring merchants when they have nothing much to sell that might be an issue.

*shrug* I don't actually put armor up for sale, there's so many different varieties possible, and it's so easy to get the skill up, and you only have 30 slots, I've pretty much assumed people just make their own so they can custom tailor exactly what they want.

Pretty much all I use the guild store for is a dumping ground for motifs (1-9) and blue recipies.

Ok, well, back to topic so we can bump this and get some attention:

Can't bid on any kiosk, some are displaying tabbards and guild names while others are not. Some just say "bye".

We aren't talking about whether kiosks are good or bad, we are discussing the fact that you can't get a kiosk at all if you want one atm. Last I checked if you do not currently own a kiosk, you aren't ever going to get one, because you can't bid on kiosks anymore, and the ones that had no bid last week now just say "good bye", so atm there is no way to get a kiosk. Last I checked was about 12 hours ago, I am logging in and hoping it is fixed.

This is exactly the issue @ZOS_JessicaFolsom‌ (since this is the only zos name I recall).

Monday came, broke our guilds ability to participate in a key aspect of trading in ESO. Last I checked we were still not able to bid, lost our old kiosk, and stuck with nothing but heart ache...

I would create an in-game bug report, but I have submitted MANY of these in the past to only see my issue closed with a generic response, and not actual resolution... In other words, this method does not work and I have lost hope using that process.

Please help us correct the Kiosk system and the current broken state as of yesterday.

I have encountered a few bugged traders in EP. I believe they are traders who had no bids on them, but it is just a theory. I also agree that skipping the maintenance affects the bidding cycle and bugs the traders.

Also, I believe the traders in the Hollow City are still not visible if you have completed the quests there.

Last thing I heard about the Guild Traders in the Hollow City was that they were visible to AD and EP players, but not to DC players. Which is just bizarre.

I don't know if that's still the case because my DC character is level 27 and won't be getting to Coldharbour for a while.

My main and my no. 1 alt are both EP. My main has completed the quests in the Hollow City and can see the carts, but not the traders.

My alt is level 40 and has only gone to the Hollow City to talk to the grocer, and she can see and interact with the traders.

I still have to go through The Rift with her, but if they don't fix it by the time I get to do the quests for Coldharbour, I'll pay attention to when in the quest progression they disappear.

We're aware of some intermittent issues with guild traders. We apologize for any frustration this causes. We are working on a fix that should be going into Update 4 (if that changes, we'll let everyone know).

Just a theory but it seems the traders that changed ownership do not show the new owner upon exchange. The traders that remain with the same owner after bidding closes can be viewed as usual.

For example my guild won a different trader this week and when I go to view it our name does not appear; however, a consistently owned trader (won't name names) always seems to work just fine.

This is what happens when developers try to be special snowflakes and try to think outside of an industry standard, perfectly functional box. You get a "unique" idea that is bad on a good day, assuming it can even work for a reasonable amount of time.

Thank you for the reply, but to be honest, you did not offer a solution. With no solution offered, look how fast this post about something very specific and very economically breaking to my guild became almost ignored...

So you are saying that my guild is *** out of luck due to game mechanics failing, and we just have to wait it out, nor do we get our old kiosk back?

So our guild just spent a better part of an hour going through many different guild traders and listing them out and submitting them as a bug report. This is the post I sent to ZOS as a bug report with the hopes of hearing back more enlightening news than the news left here.
"Our guild has been looking at bidding on our next guild trader, unfortunately we have found that most guild traders are bugged currently. We can bid on some of the guild traders but many of the ones we're interested in are bugged and do not have an option to bid on. For example these are all EP faction: All in East March, All in Wayrest in DC, All of the ones in Rawl'kha Reaper's march, Mournhold in Deeshan, Deeshan near Tal'deic wayshrine, All of them in Shadowfen, etc etc etc there's ALOT that are bugged that we cannot bid on and this list is by no means complete.

We can bid on all of them in The Rift, Dhalmora in Bal Foyen, Stonefalls, and Bangkorai. Again not a complete list.

We had a guildmate check her Daggerfall Covenant faction toon and she could bid on all of the traders in Wayrest."

This is the wonderful response that we got from ZOS mind you about 5mins after I sent my first e-mail in.
Thank you for contacting The Elder Scrolls Online Team.

I would first like to sincerely apologize for the inconvenience, and I can understand how frustrating this must be for you. We are currently looking into the issue of guild traders that cannot be bid upon or traded with. Thank you for taking the time to make us aware of this bug, we hope to have it fixed in an upcoming patch.

Thank you for your continued interest and support!

    Sithis guide you,

    My response

Thank you for the generic response Dillan. Can you please answer me why it is that they were working last week, but are currently not working this week. And when can we expect this anticipated patch? Yes it is frustrating and yes it is a inconvenience. As a member of the beta testing group since August of 2013, I think you can answer at least our guild with a non-generic response as to what are the plans to help fix this situation and/or what type of reimbursement can be anticipated for the malfunction of this game since the implementation of guild traders?

Thanks again for your time and consideration, it is much appreciated.

    General Atalle

Hopefully this gets me a little bit further than just another generic response with a line of BS.

Not to be rude, but you aren't getting what the problem is. You CAN NOT bid on Kiosks. If everyone else is using the same UI I am, no one will have a kiosk next week, as you can not bid on OR rent a kiosk. Maybe I missed a spot but I spent long enough searching for either/or and they simply aren't available.

Maintenance may reset it, I don't know, but I do know that if no one can buy or rent a kiosk, then they are just taking up valuable polygons as of this coming Monday on end of (no)bidding.

Guild kiosks for a large majority are not working as intended. We are unable to interact with them. To receive no direct response for a resolution leaves the impression that one is being ignored, or asked to "wait it out." If I feel this way, I can only expect others to feel the same. So as a community member, I expect addressing this issue or calling light to it can only help, or so I hope.

    1) I am trying to get some help from ZOS on this issue for my guild
    2) I am also trying to report my findings, because - well... most of the time I am told "Hold tight a fix is coming" when it takes a month or more to see any kind of action.

And to think....a simple, single auction house would have fixed all this. But noooooooooooo.
I am not spending a single penny on the game until changes are made to the game that I want to see.
    1) Remove having to be in a guild to sell items to other players at a kiosk.
    2) Cosmetic modding for armor and clothing.
    3) Difficulty slider.
    4) Fully customizable player housing that isn't tied to anything in the game other than having the correct resources and enough gold to build. Don't tie it to PvP, guild membership, or anything at all. Oh, make it instanced so as not to take up world map space, too. Zeni screwed this one up already.
Any /one/ of these things implemented would get me spending again, maybe even subbing.
