Do mobs crit?

I’ve searched all over and there seems to be just as many people sure that mobs do crit as those who are sure they don’t. Does anyone have any definitive answer? I’m specifically wondering about vet dungeon and trial bosses. I’m about to craft some gear to tank and wondering if I should use impen trait. Thanks.

I wouldn't mind a definitive answer, as well.
If she doesn't know the pain of cliffracers, she's too young for you.

I think most people seem to think no but there are various well kinda legit dungeon guides that mention stuff like, 'watch out this guy crits hard,' which has me wondering.

As a tank (read: I get hit a lot) with 0 Impenetrable, who watches floating combat text and reviews fights with CLS a lot, I have never seen an unexplainable spike in damage.

Those guides that say "look out for this boss's crit" are most likely referring to power attacks.

If this is true, and I have no reason at all to doubt it, this would imply that the armor trait Impenetrable is only useful in PvP, and nowhere else. Why would one trait out of eight be so radically different than the others, which are universally useful (i.e. everywhere in the game)?

Well gear decay reduction isn't useful at all for pvp either.
