It's clearly because you were not ccing him enough or doing any real burst!

This player is a confirmed user of said exploit. I hit it from behind with a stealth snipe for about 400 damage today when it had no shields up. In that situation my snipe would do 1500-2000. It doesn't get much clearer than that. No absorb at all. And then it was pounded on by a group of 8 and took ages to go down. 75% mitigation + bubblespam + block = ridiculous.

I avoid it now. There are a bunch of players I just don't bother fighting any more due to these exploits and stupid mechanics.

There are all sorts of bugs people don't talk about - like the weaponswap bug that procs Crystal Frag. Just wipe that under the carpet... Game is full of cheese.

edit: Sorry. Wasn't the player in the OP. Is another known mistform exploiter. I got them confused. They're both blatant though and everyone is aware of it.

That's saying ALOT from some of the turkey's I've played !!

ESO makes Vanguard after the first 3 months look stable in comparison.

The ESO train is on auto pilot and the end of the line is near

Yeah I know of two other sorcs this guy runs with who are now using the same exploit. One of them is the first guy I hit in my video, I crit vampires with Mages Fury for 350+ damage on everyone else. On him sitting there unaware of me and with no shields or block up I crit for 116.

It is only a matter of time before more and more people are using this exploit and we don't even have a confirmation from ZOS that they are even looking into it.

@ZOS_GinaBruno‌ , @ZOS_BrianWheeler‌ are you guys going to acknowledge you are looking into this exploit or is this another thing that is going to go on for months and ruin PVP like caltrops did? How much more evidence do you need?

Its cheesey but this sorc has figured out that with the right shields stacked streaking to rest and going back into feed off of melee hits and then the magic hits they can stay up.

I would agree that a simple stun or CC to interrupt their rotation would cause them to go arse up quicker than you think.

recently I got hit with petrify...had never been hit with it before...I seriously had to think about what to do before I did it and by the time I broke free it was too late.

did you miss the 2nd video where a wrecking blow hits for only 243, which has a tooltip of ~740, while their shields are down or the execution that only did 18 damage to them when they were under 10% hp? How about the ransack thats only doing 136 but has a tooltip damage of ~420? If this isn't an exploit please explain to me the build that allows you to mitigate this amount of damage, I would love to be able to tank 15 people while i'm afk.

usual 1.3k ambush from stealth. Blinxey takes about 300 from stealth no shields. Conc wep were doing like 150. I pmed him/her, that they were bugged so could they please relog. Writes back, get some dps. If ZOS doesnt perma ban him/her and their whole group of exploiters, then may god have help for this game...

Harness Magicka doesn't reduce damage by 100%

You can very clearly see he's doing no damage to the target.... He'd be doing at least 50% of his normal damage lowering the shields, instead those shields were just flat out fading away.

yeah experienced this bs last night. everyone said it was working as intended. if so, then this game is doomed.

Its a bug and its reproducible..cause its him and the guy he's running with are both using it. When he doesn't have shields up, He takes about 50%-75% less damage then everyone else, soon as he throws up shields..You do zero damage.

Watch the video again, the numbers scrolling on the left hand side..You'd see them absorbing damage from your nukes if they were taking 50% from harness like they should be.

Instead you see no damage scrolling, Because they're not taking any damage what so ever...

Trust me, I stack shields just the same, They go down very easily.

I run a triple shield build myself. As a veteran 12 at magical softcap you can absorb anywhere from 2-3K Magical damage(1000-1500 physical) if you stack all 3 shields depending on how much health you've lost before you cast the resto shield.

For one his shields are getting the reduced mistform bonus as well. If you see where I'm hitting him with power overload, each of those hits will hit him for 780 or so damage if he's a vampire and will crit for almost 1200. Based on my observations when his shields are down he has zero impen and I'm running 50% crit 70% with spell power pots and have max spell resistance penetration so him using unstoppable has zero impact.

My mages wrath hits vampies for 210 and Crystal fragments hit them for 800. Watch the numbers during the moments I'm able to break through his shields. There is no defensive bonus or abilities that can reduce damage by that amount other than mistform.

This guy is running zero impenetrable, doesn't even bother blocking most of the time and has been this tanky since he was VR3.

The exploit involves creating a macro that follows a series of actions following mistform. I don't want to elaborate further since there is already too many people using this crap and half the damn PVP population is vampires.

I've played the best sorcs in the game who are all Rank 30+ and their survivability using shield stacking doesn't come close to this VR8 garbage player.

Just my two cents. Not sure if this is how it's happening but I would imagine it would be something like this...

Program macro to number key (1 or whatever ability mist for is slotted on)

activates mist form
presses alt:alt (faster than the escape key and it still let's you run and move. Ever notice if you're running our mounted and you press alt you can still change direction?)
Set timer to repeat every 2 seconds.

The macro can do it fast enough that you don't see the animation of mist form.

Run that with syrabane set...

Just want to add that you can make another macro to basically always block unless your casting or using an ability so the magica gained from the syrabane set would make this OP.

Oh and finally while resting (out of combat) by the time mist form ends magica has regenerated back to 100% so one could basically run this FOR EVER

OK final thought.
DK running syrabane set, all light armor with spell reduction jewelry and run mist form exploit with reflective scales...Might be September's FOTM
