Why I may have a break from this.

Not the game mind you just the forums. In my opinion the games great still a work in progress but hey it's an mmo they are never finished. The forums on the other hand Jesus Christ. Just this morning I've seen someone QQ about vampires sneaking fast out of combat. Templars saying they aren't required in trials except as healers. when I said there are dd Templars in my guild pulling 1400 in trials and a Templar tank. Not one asked for a screenshot build link or anything in fact they continued QQing like I hadn't said a word. Then a thread about how tanks aren't needed at all the op in this thread backed this up with video "evidence" of a ten minute trial. In this video you hear the raid leader talking to the tank loads he must say tank at least 20 times.
When given the information that they are always preferable for everything and damned right essential for the majority of pve content. Not be me on this occasion again the QQers completely ignored these facts and continued their whining.
So I may be having a break in the hope that ppl actually do some research before coming here to QQ. The irony of making a whine thread about whiners is not lost on me. Hence the break I have become the thing I hate.

Yeah it happens. Forums are like a bad car wreck. You know it's going to be ugly but can't help to look. See you in Tamriel!

I laughed and then I cried because it's true. Well I didn't literally cry but on the inside I certainly feel you on this one.

I'm convinced you literally cried. ;-)

I'd come here with the intention of asking why we should care, but you make a 100% valid point.

And you musn't go. If the only feedback and things ZOS people have left to read are the people ranting and QQing (I thought this was one of those posts) because of the mistakes they made when creating a character or because they are impatient little [snip] or (mainly) because they need to L2P, if they start listening to those people because the voices of reason leave, then this game is over, it's dead.

The community in this game is by far the worst I have ever seen. Some of the most selfish misinformed "players" who can't grasp the fact that its an MMO.

I blame the social justice corruption that is happening to gaming, necessary at one point but has gone entirely too far.

I have to turn zone off too, I was playing an AD alt just to pass time earlier and people were literally counting the female to male ratio of semi/important characters in the game to make sure it was 100% even (i didn't stay in the conversation long enough to figure out if it was). I know that is a bit off topic but I think it speaks volumes to where gamers have gone. I remember when those conversations would have been about game mechanics and builds people have found. I would think people would be discussing why weapon builds aren't very strong instead

Games have turned into everything being fair and nerf this or buff that instead of being about fun.

I actually come to miss the time when the interaction with GM or Devs was at the minimum or inexistent. The only worst thing that can happen after them making a wrong decision is the risk that they actually end up listening to those selfish misinformed players that think the dev resources should be spent into making this a TES6 with extensive content instead of the MMO some of us have been waiting for more than 10 years (selfish is really the word here)..

I blame Skyrim (a game I love) for making a significant amount of the player population think they should be able to log on and face roll everything like they did in a SINGLE PLAYER RPG rather than carefully think about their build and the pros and cons to certain gear sets, weapons, enchantments etc etc because this is an MMORPG! Heck this is the first MMO I have played and even I know that I need to adapt and change according to the current metagame.

The QQ is starting to really bore me, too.

    Lastoblyat - VR16 Templar - PvP Rank 14 (AD)
Ninja Pete - VR16 NB - PvP Rank 10 (AD)
Labo the Banana Slayer - VR14 Sorc - PvP Rank 12 (EP)

Yah, I supose most of the whiners are recent customers who where brought to the franchise with Skyrim's success. Ofc there are some old fans that are solo players crunchers and want any and everything to be solo playable even the RPG.

I wish ZOS would officially communicate on this matter explaining once and for all that this is a Multiplayer game, not TES6 and that soloers will never be happy. But that would make the soloers leave sooner, so they never will.

..or ZOS could in fact cater to there audience which is just as many TES players as MMO players. I think people need to just accept that fact and work together for both our benefit instead of constantly whining.

I agree, the whining must stop. ZOS's road ahead is perfect, people asking for more solo content should just stop crying and accept the fact this is an MMO and that TES solo players should wait for TES6 and leave us have our fun here.

I agree with the OP about this community.

    It's disappointing.

I agree with comments that most of the people complaining are people expecting another chapter in TES games.

It is not. If anything, given the storyline and the emphasis on rewriting destiny and the melding of dimensions, this game could almost be considered an alternate Elder Scrolls universe, or one significantly transformed by chaotic influences.

Which only makes the game more intriguing for elder scrolls fans if they'd only broaden their minds and the scope of their perspective.

The numbered Elder Scroll games will always be a league all their own. But ZoS has really given us a rich Elder Scrolls experience on an MMO platform.

Given time I hope the community mellows out and we get some actual discussion going instead of thread after thread of "Make the game how I like it cause I'm the only one who matters!!"

The surest way to get tired of any game is to read the forums. Just don't bother with it and enjoy the games. I come here to poke fun at people who are trying to politic for some kind of change that benefits them; the pvp factions are the worst but the pve solo-only guys are almost as bad.

    Templars aren't out dps'ing anyone.

    You know nothing John Snow.

Hybrid Templars can outdps sorcerers and even some DKs. I posted a link to such build in the other post which was also ignored because people don't want to adapt to have high dps, things should be handed to them.

Problem is that at the beginning of everything, it's ridiculous (I would use a much stronger word describing a person's IQ but I really like talking on forums) to expect that a class made for healing, tanking & buffing can ALSO pull as much DPS as the other classes.

This is exactly what I mean by the modern social justice parallel

People are too busy complaining to find out that there complaints have been heard and fixed.

3 days ago I did the same. I love playing the game but the forums just get me down. Why am I back? Because my partner read this post and told me about it.

I do see a need for feedback and community discussion. I don't see a need to be hostile or overtly offensive. I don't see a need to just complain without offering some form of alternative or possible solution, with a full explanation.

Then again, I am the type of chap who does admit when he is wrong.

It seems that there's one small group of forum instigators complaining loudly about everything, and another small group that slings insults around freely because they disagree with people in the first group.

I find the forums more pleasant when I put both groups on ignore. Just click each one's name to go to the profile, then click the ignore button. Maybe it will help a little.

Of course when I hit my ignore limit I'll have to find another solution.
