Maintenance for the week of April 6:
• ESO Store and Account System for maintenance – April 8, 9:00AM EDT (13:00 UTC) - 6:00PM EDT (22:00 UTC)
We are currently investigating connection issues some players are having on the European megaservers. We will update as new information becomes available.

Returning to ESO after break, what's it like now?

Took a break for several months, as things were getting a bit stale and decided to come back later on with a fresh perspective. Are things better, worse, good, bad or indifferent?. Are there any new features and changes I should know about?
I think the last time I played was June. Any feedback would be appreciated.
The more complex the mind, the greater the need for the simplicity of play.

Well, you might or might not know how it is with MMOs: they're constantly, ceaselessly under construction. Stuff gets added, stuff gets fixed, stuff gets altered. They expand.

Whether they become better or worse is always personal opinion, based on only the stuff that is cared about personally, and pet peeves. There always will be a baseline of complaining on forums, no matter what the devs do; and there always will be the people who think that publicly badmouthing a game (i.e. the work of others) or its community (of which they're a part, nonetheless) on its own forums makes them look cool with the ladies (there seems to be no other chance for them).

So, I would repeat @Armitas‌'s tip of reading the Road Ahead articles, which contain a retrospective, or even slog through past patch notes, and find out whether stuff that you care about has been added or improved.

I think the game has, and will continue to, become even better. But this is, you've guessed it, just my personal opinion.
