"An error has occurred. Please wait a few minutes and log in again"

FireKat
FireKat
I just renewed my subscription after a couple months of not playing - I can't even get into the game. First I was getting error codes 108 and 200 when trying to log in but customer support helped me fix that. Now after about 2min of being logged in i'm getting "An error has occurred. Please wait a few minutes and log in again." Every. Single. Time. I've never had an issue with logging in before.
Help ):

@FireKat, I see you have an open incident in regards to the issue's you've described. Please respond to the incident email with a Game Consultant. The Game Consultant is a specialized diagnostic tool designed to identify issues that may be affecting your experience.

Before creating this report, make sure that your launcher is up-to-date. To do so, players simply need to:
    1. Open ESO launcher.
    2. Click on the Game Options arrow located in the middle of thelauncher under the News section.
    3. Click on Check for updates.

A player can access their Game Consultant information from The Elder Scrolls Online launcher by following the process below:
    4. Open the ESO Launcher.
    5. Click on the Gear icon in the upper-right hand corner.
    6. Click the About tab.
    7. Click the Game Consultant button.
    8. Click Run Test to create the data log.

See this link for more steps should you have a problem with gathering the Game Consultant.

It's the new version from the " An Unknown error has occurred"
Hundreds op people are waiting for a solution.
Meanwhile most of us are using a software called Tweakmaster to get ingame.
Even then I need to restart the log on process up to 5 times to get in game.
It's a network setting, problably in the regedit file, I haven't figured out wich one.
This situation worsened after the move of the Eu server, and again with last patches after the move.

Send a huge amount of data to more than 10 ZOS support agents, with no solution to the issue so far... :(

    Cheers.

TBH it was part of my "unknown error has occurred" bug. I would get that when kicked out and (unknown error) and then it would say to log in again in a few minutes. This happened to me SO MUCH after update 3.

NEVER found what the problem was. I was given a reply saying to forward my ports which wasn't at all an option when my husband also plays ESO on his computer when I'm playing and didn't really make sense anyway as he was having no issue.

Eventually after some hotfix the problem went away luckily. Many /feels for you and your situation. It is frustrating.

I'm getting same error too, it only started to happen after update, but normally gets me in after several tries,
but today it's not letting me in at all, on any character.

It's clearly an eso problem and they most likely have no clue as to what.

I'm getting this also. I was getting it after the update when I was in TX and now I still get it at a new place in CO (different router and ISP) so I know its not my net connection. I only rarely get it at login though, Usually its while I'm playing and I get kicked to login screen.

Today I couldn't stay logged for more then 2-3 minutes because of "an error has occurred". Couldn't even send a bug report. I've reported this issue before several times and went through all of steps and hints I got in ZOS responses but nothing helped. ZOS, please, stop pushing new content with even more bugs, fix old bugs first.

HI! HAd this problem a while aswell, and had numeros mails to support,But no solution,My guess is that they have no clue on how to fix it since there is no progress. They only send you the same lame response all the time bla,bla bla.
I Travel a lot and have tried logging in on different locations,And some of the locations i have no problem logging in ,but other places it is impossible, only get the> an error has occured ........ <.And this started to happen the day after the EU server move. They better come up with a fix soon

It seems to be getting worse. I get kicked to login screen every 2 minutes. When the problem started, it was every 10 minutes, then every 5. Also, now as soon as I get in, the controls do not work. It used to be they did for a few minutes. I sent in a ticket and hope to hear back by the 5th. If not, I'm gone and suggest all others with this issue quit too. Come back when it is fixed. I hate to be that drama queen, lame-ass "I'm quitting" guy, but if a few thousand people left in a short time, it would get fixed quick.

+1 here. Having same issue as described by many here. It takes me usually 10 to 12 tries to get in. The launcher loads fine, I log in fine, it shows my characters fine, then when I try to choose one it cycles for a while and then drops me with a 'problem' message. Eventually I get in.

My boyfriend is sitting next to me, on the same network, same exact setup, and has no problem getting in. I even tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game but didn't work. The only difference we have is that I am a paid subscription to the game and he isn't. So maybe it has something to do with the new expansion they released?

Ugh, frustrated, especially since it now takes over an hour just to log in and train my horses. :disappointed:

Guess I'll go back into my log-in cycles, hopefully they will fix soon.
