Show me where i actually said that low level players had "exclusive" access to dolmens and i *might* take you seriously.

Until then, please go back and actually take the time to read the posts in this thread.

    Hyperbole? You mean like
Never realized that the only way i can do level correct dolmens is with a VR samaritan healer watching my back ...
    ?

Because he didn't say that. So yeah, I read the posts, it's just that yours was stupid.

Aww man, I love these forums sometimes. :D

Hyperbole = / = reductio ad absurdum, and the latter was in this case totally warranted, given @UlanX's towering "I'll do whatever I want and you scrubs should thank me" arrogance. That aside though, I'm really confused as to how you feel that pointing out the perceived faults of others somehow negates your own. But please, continue these pathetic attempts to deflect attention rather than actually responding to the substance of the argument. :)

The argument has no substance. Oh, and "Towering arrogance" is another great example of hyperbole. You guys really are hilarious.

I completely agree with the OP on this, on my VR9, I have been able to solo many of the anchors myself if noone were around, even at low lvl, and when I come by an anchor in the lower lvls now, where I see people standing around I equip my resto staff and stand ready to throw some heals.

But it isnt just at the anchors that I have seen high VR people run in and smash all.

Have been playing on a new alt, and in Stonefells, Inner Sea Armature a lvl 8ish place, I often have found VR10 people running around killing Dwemer for the achievement.
Personally I fail to see how someone can feel it is an achievement to kill 800 of those instead of going to a place with VR5+ Dwemer and have some more fun with it.
We're born, we live, we die. And along the way, you do the best with whatever crap you step in :p

I'm stranded all alone in the gas station of love, And I have to use the self-service pumps <3

Post Hoc Ergo Proptor Hoc o:)

Motivation alone is not enough. If i had an idiot with me and i motivated him, then i will have a motivated idiot to do stuff :s

My definition of fun is vastly different from yours.

Getting a grindy achievement in an MMO is like paying off a big loan. You feel relieved when it's done, perhaps even proud. You might value what having paid off that loan says about you as a person, but you definitely don't look back at the time spent paying off that loan as "fun."

Imo they should just Level scale you down when you enter the zone the the zone appropriate lvl, or Phase the zone so its veteran rank only when you are veteran rank. So you only see veteran rank stuff.

Vet players are spoiling the dolmens because the achievement is so grindy that it's ridiculous. I've heard people do over 350 dolmens to get it.

Well there is a 250 dolmen achievement so why is that unexpected?

    Do this to annoy them

there are 5 anchor pins, if your a NB vanish so they get agro and they hog the pins don't forget the one at the end.

i did this in a zone to wind them up but i was appropriate lvl, ended up getting the achievement colour before them and cradit from the anchors.

he /w me saying i was an ass**** because i vanished and he got agro and died while i still there spamming the pins, i cant tell you how much i lmao @ him, then /w him back linking the ach mwahahahhahha

this was more fun than doing the anchors lol

I've been general chasing recently and have probably been guilty of this, I will try to tone down what I do on a dolmen to allow 'locals' more chance to notch up the kills.

The dwarven grind is a bit different, for dwarven constructs and ghosts there are really no suitable higher level areas that yield many... that is both why people do it down level and why they need to grind those ones at all, all the other kill ones you just notch up as you go.

You don't get anything for activating the first four pins. There are no enemies left for the one at the end, so you don't really have an advantage in getting that one. I'm not sure what you think you were accomplishing.

Just a small point. "Towering arrogance" is a metaphorical description. Hyperbole would be "it was the most outrageous display of arrogance anyone have ever seen, an arrogance of biblical proportions, an arrogance to shock even the gods."

You might value what having paid off that loan says about you as a person, but you definitely don't look back at the time spent paying off that loan as "fun."

To my mind, spending time in an MMO doing things you don't enjoy is just, well, lunacy. Especially if you pay for the privilege.

if you get 100 pins you get the armor dye, you don't have to just get the one at the end.... You get all of them....lol

if you get the pins the vets cant, that was the point, to sabotage! Them and steal there pins.

Not so much, nor the the overall number closed, mostly it is the odd rare general. If it was simply pins or closed dolmens we'd be in the first zones bugging the level 10s not the later ones.

That's why I said "one of the things". There are several achievements related to dolmens, and the reason VR players are at low level dolmens is to get those achievements.

Now I have to close them. Well, maybe just one per Dolmen, leave the rest for the others.

yeah click 100 of them get a very cool purple dye, you get 5 per anchor if your fast, you can get 100 in less that a couple of hours easy in deshan.

tip, when standing next to it ...if you want to get it before others then put you weapon away or youl have to wait for the animation before the click will activate.

Well, I have a couple hundred more Dolmens to do, so even at one pin per Dolmen, that Achievement will show up before the 250 Dolmen or the Generals will.

Purple clashes with my eyes, so......j/k

I'm guilty of this one as well. But when I hit VR12 (Cadwell's gold, all quests and dungeons complete) I only had a little over 200 Dwemer constructs for that achievement, so that one is a little off the mark (every other hunter achievement was done or nearly done by the time I hit VR12). Can you imagine grinding out 800 Dwemer at level? I was able to grind it out in a couple hours in low level dungeons. And while I do try to be courteous to low level players, I'm sure some came in behind me to find an empty dungeon.

Um, what? How is anything there an attack? My entire point is that different people have different views, so it's unfair for you to say that it's lunacy for them to do something they don't enjoy, when it's possible that for them the payoff makes it worth it. You specifically said you can't agree with that. You're the one who won't acknowledge that other people have different views. Either you agree that it's not lunacy for those people (and you've said you don't agree with that), or you're saying that others can't have different views from you (which means that you lack the ability to understand that different things are important to different people). End of story, with absolutely zero attacks on anyone.
