P.S. I thought 'I quit' posts were not going to be allowed; this one is a waste of space.

I want to play like ZOS advertised, play MY way. That was a marketing lie. I can't play my way because it simply does not work. I started a Nightblade and wanted to be a stealthy bow sniper. Yeah. Not happening. I went to stam build, medium armor.

Stealthy bow sniper - Check! (well, I'm a stealthy assassin with a bow and DW. If you really want to take on every situation with a bow YOUR playstyle is gimped. That's on you.)
Medium armor - Check!
Stam build - No!! First choose your skills build then select attribute points to complement it. I keep magicka and stamina even so I can play MY way
I wonder how much of his problem with his NB is he's not wearing the right gear. I don't mean medium armor, I mean sets and their bonuses.
Not all sets are created equal.
My main is a VR12 NB. I dumped the bow when I was VR7 after I notice how poorly the bow does in vet dungeons. I'm now using restro/destro staff and light armor.
The bow is a bad PvE weapon. It works wonderfully in PvP.
The best stam builds that function well in vet group content are either 2H or DW.
Just by changing sets, my dps went up over 150 points on average in trials.
To complain about being unable to complete things in Coldharbour with the bow is nonsense. I completed all the VR zones before the nerf and the bow was fine until I started doing vet dungeons.

Allow me to clarify my position a little...
I am playing a MMORPG. The second 'M' stands for multiplayer. If I wanted a single player game I would play skyrim (which I did) but I want to play with others. I don't have any issues finding groups, people to adventure with, and MY STYLE OF PLAY is grouping. I set up my character to do DPS in groups, I like what I do and the people I play with always liked having me around. None of that is the issue.
Where I start to fail so badly is on those da** quests that force you to do them solo against tougher than normal mobs & bosses. My personal setup simply wont work there. I would have to completely respect to do all those things that everyone else wants me to do, but then those things are not how I play in a group.
ZOS made this game based on solo play, maybe not intentionally, but that's the result. Best builds for toons are not always group friendly, half the time members of my group exist only as a carat mark (^) and I cant even see them or interact with group mates in that state. Then theres the places we go and suddenly find ourselves in a solo dungeon or situation, forcing us to complete content by ourselves. I guess that's my real issue with ZOS and this game.
I am trying to make it work, but I just refuse to do what everyone else is doing, I don't want to me yet another sheep in the flock, all blindly doing the same things as the others, I want to stand out, carve my own path, enjoy playing as I like, and the game is failing around me.
for the umpteenth time, I recognize that if I do what you guys are telling me to, that I will be successful and 'win' more. But that's not why I am here, I don't want to win the game, I want to play it, adventure and enjoy it....
A tip for you: not everyone's a gear *** like you seem to be.commander_vaas wrote: »I hate how people complain about games that are to hard so it ruins it for them, games should be impossible to complete so only the best people can get the best gear. This game is way to easy

Hey! That's playing MY way!
Nightblade - Check!

Not happening. I went to stam build, medium armor. Turns out what I was 'supposed to do' was a majika build as most things I used wanted majika, not stam. Then I found out that bows suck badly. Medium armor is like wearing toilet paper, and nothing I did worked.
I chose to become a werewolf. That turned out to be a complete waste of skill points on something that was a horribly thought out concept that after several months ZOS is completely ignoring. Another wrong choice I made.
At 48 I attempted to do those annoying solo quests again, all of which are grey to me. Tried the sancre tor quest, I died 5x trying that. I tried the fighters guild quest, died 4x, and some arena tournament quest, where I died 6x.
I tried playing other ways, and yes, when I turned to a popular build that everyone uses for my NB, I rocked, I was able to kill things, I could survive. But that's NOT MY STYLE OF PLAY. I hated it and the abilities.
So as a result of wanting to play MY way, I can't complete the game or advance beyond 48. I am not happy. Just insert here a TON of really bad language directed toward ZOS. I mean just think of the absolute WORST you can dream up and that's what im saying right now to ZOS and their design staff.

This really is a Learn to play issues.... you will not be missed... this game clearly was not for you.

I have a stealthy bow wielding NB that carved right through the contents of the game you professed to be stuck.
"Play as you want" does not equate to making poor build decisions.

Lol , just another one of those people who felt the absolute need to tell the world why they quit a game . As if the rest of the world would even give it a second thought before moving on with their day.

I found his post constructive. It explains exactly how bad the game is right now and how it does NOT feel like an TES game.
I just wanted to comment on the bold part because it caught my eye. With only 14 days left...I feel your pain...my dw heavy armor templar struggled in alot of places....it wasn't that some bosses were almost impossible it was that I could run through everything else so easy and then hit a solid wall. Then I hit vet levels where mobs of 3 randoms were a99% death expectation.
Then came all the nerfs.
Post nerf apocalypse I was able to complete everything...but my character did not feel stronger or higher...you really don't get that you gain power at all in this game...loot is crap....builds are very much set and the huge world really seems gorgeously boring.
No fun in building new characters because after doing Cadwell gold it's all repeated.
This is a great 60-90 day game which would have been fine without the subscription cost.
The game is not worth more then that so my expectations versus actual is way off.
I can complain and suggest and forum troll...bbut that's not worth $15. So the only real power left is to unsub...The numbers are the only way zos will really listen to the players.
