Yes, after months of playing, I have just deleted my main character. Not set aside, or not playing him, actual deleted from existence. Why you might ask...
Here's why....
I want to play like ZOS advertised, play MY way. That was a marketing lie. I can't play my way because it simply does not work. I started a Nightblade and wanted to be a stealthy bow sniper. Yeah. Not happening. I went to stam build, medium armor. Turns out what I was 'supposed to do' was a majika build as most things I used wanted majika, not stam. Then I found out that bows suck badly. Medium armor is like wearing toilet paper, and nothing I did worked.
I chose to become a werewolf. That turned out to be a complete waste of skill points on something that was a horribly thought out concept that after several months ZOS is completely ignoring. Another wrong choice I made.
At 48 I attempted to do those annoying solo quests again, all of which are grey to me. Tried the sancre tor quest, I died 5x trying that. I tried the fighters guild quest, died 4x, and some arena tournament quest, where I died 6x.
I tried playing other ways, and yes, when I turned to a popular build that everyone uses for my NB, I rocked, I was able to kill things, I could survive. But that's NOT MY STYLE OF PLAY. I hated it and the abilities.
So as a result of wanting to play MY way, I can't complete the game or advance beyond 48. I am not happy. Just insert here a TON of really bad language directed toward ZOS. I mean just think of the absolute WORST you can dream up and that's what im saying right now to ZOS and their design staff.

I have a stealthy bow wielding NB that carved right through the contents of the game you professed to be stuck.

What is odd is that you asked for advice/help and obviously just walked away without considering the many constructive items that were offered.
I wish you luck in your adventures but please don't believe for an instant that your lack of enjoyment is anything other than your refusal to learn and understand from your own mistakes. (in a game, mind you).

Talrenos✭✭✭✭I refuse to play YOUR way. I hate taking the 'best build' I am someone that likes to experiment with skills, builds and find things that please me to use. I assumed that this game would allow that within reason. It does not.
If you want to play a NB, you HAVE to do it one way, using a best build and use specific skills in a systematic order. Wonderful, all we did was re-create WoW style characters. who cares anymore. this really sucks.

No. No you don't. Actually, NB's are very flexible when it comes to PvE content. You didn't bother to answer any questions asked in your previous thread.
Nobody even suggested that your build was bad. In fact, I'd go as far to say that your issues probably could have been resolved with some situational tactical advice based on your build (which you were vague about).9 -

Im a ex Lotro player ..and let me tell you, making the game too easy destroys the game !
Now ..it is true that stamina/magicka are not balanced ..so maybe a magicka user finds too easy what a stamina user finds too difficult.
But ..about nighblade sucking?? my nightblade is using dual wield, now with the new weapon critical sets im dealing huge damage, full medium armor ,bow as 2nd weapon.
Like others said ..bow works great in pvp. For pve ...maybe not so good in trials , but in the rest of the game is awesome.

. You should have kept up with your main, the bow has been majorly vamped at least in pvp. I know because I have been victim several times to its power.. And the last part of the fighters guild took my sorcerer a couple of times to do... The bosses are not supposed to be a gimme .. Seriously, The DC quest Purifying the Wyrd Tree ( Level 8 ) took me like 8-9 tries.. 
But now my main is lvl 4 vet with about 1/4" to go before vet 5. And I am convinced she will never be able to kill Pelidil .... ever.. You would have succeeded and the fix is in for the problems you mentioned. Better luck on your next build . Pausekey✭✭✭Saying that players can play their own way was the worst mistake ZoS made. It led people to believe that every build will have equally good results. This is not, and never will be the case. There is always a best build, in every game ever made. But for some reason people here think they can make whatever choices they want for their character and have the same results as the theory crafter's.
And before someone says the non staff/dress builds are unplayable, please look at the builds people have posted. Stam builds, especially bows, can do very well. The trick is adapting play style to suit your skills. As a sneaky NB sniper don't run into zergs.8 -
EliteZ✭✭✭£100 says he didn't even delete the character, instead he died X times and rage quit to the character creation screen, clicked DELETE typed in "DELETE" swore a few times, then came here to try and act as "cool" as he felt when he had the idea to delete his character. His prob playing said character right this second, probably still dying because he makes poor choices and blames the game for his own mistakes.
On the other hand, I'm sure everybody at ZoS is crying and have quit their jobs now knowing you pretended to delete your character. GG good sir.
On topic, I don't have a NB that high lvl so I can't completely speak about it, however I have been playing a DK (which is 49 atm) and was able to do All fighters guild quests (apart from one, forgot the name) and main story quests without dying once. Actually no, I died on the fight before Manimarco, but that was due to a fault of my own. While I know people say DK's are stronger then a NB, but surely the class can't be that bad that you can't do a quest 8 lvls higher.
Yes they said "Play how you want to", but take that with a pinch of salt. I might want to play the game naked with no abilities and only a single dagger for dps, would I get very far? No.Edited by EliteZ on August 20, 2014 6:51PM3 -

zso72✭✭I rerolled from a VR DK to a 7med, bow/bow, NB before the medium armor buffs, before the major NB class fixes (still waiting on a few broken skills), and I never had one problem in PVE until I was in the VR5 zone as a VR2 (pre-nerf) and found myself unable to solo WBs for the first time. I originally rolled DK because, on paper, it was the ideal class for my playstyle/what I thought I wanted. In actual play, somehow I found myself more the NB style, which was even behind sorc on my list to play. Sometimes we think we know what we want, and we are completely wrong. The medium, stam NB is still viable, FAR more so than it was when I raised mine. If it didn't work for you, the only two outcomes I can reach are either: 1) you needed to choose a different class, despite what you think you want, or 2) you did not build your NB correctly, and instead of seeking other stam theorycrafters/junkies you just quit. Either way, sorry you didn't enjoy the most fun class in the game, hope you stick around.1

Well, that's to bad. I could go on about my experience with a build similar to the one you 'described', but as you so eloquently stated, you don't care.

✭Heavy armor nightblade werewolf build wouldn't have beat the king of worms without the werewolf side.
But then went medium magicka, high health and light stamina build wise.
Two handed and destro staff for weapons.
Siphioning skills where my main focus since wanted to do shadow knight, now worked in a little shadow and assassination.
Haven't done much with medium armor yet.0 -

If the DK has seen your medium armor NB then you are doing it wrong.
NB bow users are arguably the #1 kill ability in PvP right now do to burst ability of lethal arrow + animation cancelled attacks.
