Cinematic Dialogs / Moral Options / More defined faction-affinity

I like very much the cinematic experience that swtor-dialogs provide and I miss them a lot in ESO. I think the dialogs in ESO diverge way too much from the overall beauty and detailed world that ESO has to offer; the dialogs are just too simple and "boring" (i'm always skipping and don't care much anymore about the content, although i have the feeling many stories are nicely and lovely created, but still...)
They are not always military-related like in swtor. Cinematic xp makes the levelling up so much smoother and more pleasant and gives you a more "intimate", personal relationship to your toon and is positive on the long run. It gives you more the sense of being a hero :)

But i found out that it's so much easier to follow a dialog when it is a cinematic expericence with moral choices too! Moral choices are so great to make your toon a bit more personal or intriguing and "intimate" and more fun in the end on the long run.

Also, many quests are not linked to the faction-feature. When i play ESO i don't have the feeeling to belong to that faction (AD in my case). It's more different in swtor, where you are always remembered to be a hero etc.... It's good to have some sort of human-hub or hubs, a NPC or a group or a few NPC's (organization) that will go back to you to help them in the cause (for the queen in my case). That also gives a sense of not being one of the crowd only....

which is also a "problem" for me at least in PVP, where battles are just a matter of numbers and not much of skill/strategy... PVP has too little objectives, mainly keeps and those three farms..

That's a few thoughts i had just now... Thanx for sharing your thoughts, it was amazing last time :)

Have fun and good luck :)

Sorry? Did you just contradict yourself?

You say you like the detailed world - and yet cinematics will take you out of it like nothing else, because you lose (or forfeit) all control over your character and the story you create with it by simply playing it. Cinematics is not playing, it's just passively watching non-interactive content for a time.

You say you skip the quest dialogues, because they seem boring to you - and yet a great lot of the beauty and detail (and humor!) of the world lies in the stories of its inhabitants. You just need to listen to them. You say you have a feeling that it might be so, why don't you act on it? ;)

There are moral decisions to be made left and right - whether there could be more or there should be less is debatable (I'm all for more). What you choose isn't just for laughs and giggles, it has at least some consequences: people that you meet later on your journey because you let them live - unless you didn't. This area could be improved, but with a persistent online multiplayer world this is a lot more difficult than what you can do in a single player game.

My guess is that characters will have the opportunity to get in real dire straits with the upcoming Justice System, and the subsequent addition of the Thieves Guild and Dark Brotherhood.

If you have the feeling you're not properly recognized as a hero - play on, then! You can't have come very far yet if you haven't experienced it yet. There will come a time you'd wish that Mr. and Mrs. Random NPC wouldn't congratulate you for something you've done three zones ago every time you round a corner ...

yeah, moral decisions with perks (unlike swtor) would be great!

all i have in mind takes time to implement, so i just brainstorm a bit and write it here... i saw the Quakcon presentation where one of the developers described us how the are working on the dialogs to make them more real.... it takes a lot of work and time, so cinematics may be sth important but for the (near) future i hope...
