Who wants weapon ultimates?

    I have been saying since beta that they need these. It won't entirely fix the imbalance between stamina and magicka... but it would be a start. At least Stamina users would have more options.

    The reasons I voted I don't:

    1) Too hard to balance ultimates as is
    2) Not enough good ideas for ultimates
    3) Not enough slots to select ultimates
    4) Would prefer instead Zenimax add more than 5+1 ability slots for flexibility in builds
    5) Would prefer they rework weapon active abilities to make them more viable

    I have no idea, I don't have any first-hand experience with any of these ultimates as they were scrapped before I ever got into my first beta session over a year ago now. I like the idea of racial ultimates but many of them definitely seem weak. Though the Orc, Nord, and Khajiit ones sound cool.

    Ya, they were scrapped pretty early on in testing, but I agree it would go a long way towards making each race feel distinctly unique and would lead to as you say that much more character build variety and flavor.

    That's never going to happen. Having the 5 abilities + an ultimate has been one of their core combat designs since very early on. Also I'm not sure how you play but the possibility of weapon swapping gives us amazing flexibility compared to many other MMOs. Swapping your weapons in combat gives you the ability to switch your role on the fly as needed.

    staff= target area elemental storm ice/fire/lightning each with 100% chance to apply effect/give allys 15% spell crit
    bow= rapid fire or buffs all group members with 30% attack speed for a duration
    DW= hit everything in front of you really fast for 5-10 seconds depending on the ulti cost/ give allies 15% weapon dmg/attack speed
    S&B= block all incoming attacks for 15 seconds, free of stamina and still allowing the use of your weapon. give group members improved armor/spell resist, or reduce damage taken.
    2 hander= bladestorm, hit everything around you 6-7 times. Allies gain "power" for a duration.

    I do as long as bow doesn't get one. Snipe already is an ultimate with the changes on the PTS.

    The racial ultimates were not my ideas, they were the racial ultimates that were included in early builds of the game. I personally think many of them would need to be reworked/completely changed to be worth an ultimate slot.

    I agree. That's why I added the bosmer one. The bear just seemed way too weak. What others would you change?

    Not so much ultimates, but finishers...
    Like executions.
    Take up the ulti slot, use when they are below 10%HP, unique weapon finisher, that returns all of your HP stam and MP and gives you a 100% recov during combat for 5 minutes.

    What I just thought up while on the toilet:

    Two-handed: Like the assassination ultimate but with a cast time, and in a cone that hits multiple enemies and knocks them back. Accompanied by appropriate battle cry sound from the player char

    Dual-wield: Like flurry with knobs on, you flip out and start slashing your swords around, doing a damage channel that you can direct towards different enemies as you go along. Maybe your movement speed is faster and you have a chance to fear everyone you hit because they're like "whoa this psycho's coming at me with two swords i'm outta here"

    Bow: mega snipe, again like the assassination ultimate but ranged. Probably hard not to make this overpowered

    Destruction staff: Elemental prison, you lock an enemy in place on top of an AOE channel of whatever element

    Sword/shield: Come to me my pretties - big aoe taunt that also significantly buffs your defenses so you don't just die. Overspecialised?

    Restoration staff: Tough one - there's already a big healing channel on restoring light and a big shield on both support and dark magic, so maybe a status that doubles the healing taken on everyone around you?

    what I would really like , is a healing staff ultimate that's healing one target to the maximum of his health, because I'm a templar I already have an aoe healing ultimate, so I don't need that (if you are not a templar you don't have any aoe healing skills or ultimates, so an aoe heal should be good to, and then they can make the templar ultimate single target maybe)

    Voted yes. Here are my suggestions:

    2 handed: decapitate
    50 ultimate
    A killing blow that does more damage based on how much ultimate you have built up. Damage is increased even further on low health opponents.

    Dual wield: Counter attack
    50 ultimate (toggle)
    While toggled on, you automatically retaliate with a light attack any time you are struck with a melee attack. Consumes ultimate with each hit.

    1h +shield: fortress
    50 ultimate
    Reduces all incoming damage by 50% for 4 seconds when activated. For every point of extra ultimate you have reserved, gain additional armor and spell resistance for the duration.

    Bow: overdraw
    50 ultimate
    Your next bow attack after activation has its range increased by 20 yards, does 20% additional damage, and knocks the target down for 3 seconds.

    Destruction staff: wrath
    50 ultimate
    2 second channel
    Focus a beam of destructive energy at your target for 2 seconds, dealing damage each second. Damage and channel duration are increased based on additional ultimate reserve.

    Restoration staff: mass resurrection
    50 ultimate
    Restores health, magicka, and stamina to nearby allies, and resurrects one dead ally in the area. An additional dead ally is resurrected for each additional 50 ultimate spent.

    No because I would rather have ultimate modifying passives in each skill line. These would add a different bonus or change the way each ult currently works. Slotting an ultimate on a certain weapons bar will result in a different effect or bonus given to the ultimate than slotting it on another weapon types bar. This allows each current ult to have 18 different variations, one set of 6 for each weapon type unmorphed and two more sets of 6 for the morphed version as modified for each weapon type. Even more if you break down types of weapons within each category.
