I'm sure this will upset many trolls.
The chart didn't reveal that the customers buying ESO is the biggest whiners on Earth
You haven't seen the Wild* forums....it's pretty bad over there.
Yeah the few left spend their time asking for a server transfer or cussing at carbine
I saw that. Saw people int he first month of this game saying Wild* was going to put WoW out of business and now they can't even find people to play with. I don't play that game but it sounds like its deader than our vet levels where before the change. Of course that's coming from the forums which is probably the worst place to look but still its been past 3 months meaning most likely actual fans are the ones that are left and its not coming from MMO hopping haters so that's disturbing.

Expect some server merge news or megaserver transformation next month. It probably has less than 100K subs

The added a crap ton of servers at launch because of the influx which is probably why its so dead now. If they go back to normal amount of servers it may be more populated and not be as bad as it sounds now. I don't know how many copies Wild* sold so I can't even begin to guess on number for subscribers. But I did see an interview somewhere where one of the Wild* devs said that only keeping 30-40% of your player base is normal and if you keep 45-50% of launch numbers then your doing really well.

NCSoft registered a 28mil income from WS, so people have been doing some (flawed) math that would put the sales between 400K and 700K, with the lowest figure considered more reliable.
It's pretty much considered 'dead' even by fans on their own forum, they have switched now to "It's too hardcore for carebears" or some crap like that...

Yeah another guy disputed those numbers with being closer to 900k. But if you think they sold 1 mil copies and only expect 35% retention thats 350k subs which is actually just fine for their studio and will probably be able to make a profit while keeping the game alive. NCsoft is also incredibly patient with their games. So their best bet is to merge servers for now, get people playing together , and add servers as need be if need be. Also remember Wild* claimed to be the next Vanilla WoW and have the most amount of release content but as everyone knows Vanilla WoW had the least amount of subs and people can chew through content like no ones business meaning you can have everything in there for a years worth of play and people will still go through it in less than a month.

Those numbers are probably a lot lower but anyways, the problem with WS (aside from being a mediocre wowclone) is that the demographic they were looking for isn't as big as they hoped

ESO has 760,000 sales or something slightly upward of that? Hopefully some day, ESO can at least sell as many copies as Justin Bieber.
the games population is fine in all honesty. had there been multiple servers seperated the landscape would be extremely different.daneyulebub17_ESO wrote: »Doesn't matter what the sales figures are. Actual data is irrelevant in this forum.
What I put all my faith in is when someone posts to say that one of the sketchy guilds they're in hasn't had ten people online in a week.
That's the accepted metric for game health in these forums.
Oh, or if someone says no one was at this one Dolman last night, or they couldn't find a group for something at 4 in the morning.
You know, hard-hitting, reputable information like that.
Sales figures! Ha! I'll take random typo-filled observations from some guy posting on the forums any day over that!

Boy, I haven't seen you say one nice thing in the forums ever.
