Probably (hopefully?) bits of everything. I'd like to see something for early adopters (say, first 3 months) that would alleviate people's discontent over the Steam pet, and then something for amount of time played (doesn't need to be continuous).wenxue2222b16_ESO wrote: »Wonder how it will work in practice? If everyone who is subbed in a particular month gets the reward or only those who have subbed continously since the first time they subbed? Or everyone who has been subbing since launch or ....?
Will be interested to see the details.

Give 50c discount for every 2 month sub, with a cap at $8-10/mo, now we are talking.
Well, that didn't take long.
Honestly, people. Are you only satisfied when others bow in your presence and sweep the floor before your arrival?

Agree a hundred times! The absolute last thing I want is a pet.

And yet the forums exploded when a pet was offered to new players instead of the "veterans" during a sale. Seems like they're listening to the players (albeit the wrong ones, but they're listening).

Also, just a heads up that we posted an article just now with more information about the loyalty program. We also have an official discussion thread for it.

It sounds like this is their way of addressing the overwhelming crying that happened when users found out that people who buy, download, and create a new account for ESO through Steam got a dog.
Maybe if the users would stop whining and throwing temper tantrums Zenimax would be able to spend more time addressing real issues with the game instead of having to cater to the cry babies.
