Fanboyism at it's finest .. the forums are ALWAYS unrepresentative of the playerbase as a whole, but you're quite happy to be highly selective when it suits your argument.DogFaceInBananaPatch wrote: »But all the [upset] people that voted yes are probably all on the forums. Therefore it's really a very [very] small portion of the player base that is upset, which is currently at 25 people total that "claim" they'll quit. ~cheers~

1/10 is extremely significant.
Its only significant to the 1 out of 10 - which is a very, very small.
The numbers speak for themselves, you cant say 10% is bigger than it is.
You don't accept the results - I get it.
I'm saying if 10% left over an issue, that's a lot of players. I'd bet a lot of that is empty threats, but some players voted no and are still at least irritated. This poll doesn't give any indication of how many players dislike the change, but just how many seem to be on the final straw. Irritated players lose interest faster and every single time something changes around here, a significant portion of the players get irritated by it.

If there are a million people playing 1/10 is $1.49 million a month, if 500k are playing it is $750,000 a month. Maybe you a a billionaire but if I was ZOS 750k-1.5 million a month would be a significant to me.

Keep 9 out of 10 happy? - Lots of money baby!
Im not sure why MMOs do the whole gear grind thing instead of spending time creating great experiences.

If you know how to consistently create great experiences for a large number of widely divergent players over an indefinite period of time then I urge you to get into the industry, I'll totally play.

That isn't all profit it takes a lot of money to recoup development costs and pay the bills. Also that is 1/10 about one specific change .. there are quite a lot of changes on the horizon. I won't cancel over this but it pushes me that direction, depending on how a few other things play out I'll adapt or move on.

Are you one step closer to the edge and about to break? Huh, Chester?
But seriously. That's what I was trying to say. For some, this is a minor irritant. For others, this is a breaking point after tons and tons and tons of problems from the start. I'm not there yet but a lot of things are bothering me.

That 9 out of 10 don't quit over this issue doesn't mean that they are all happy. In fact, if you take a look at the other poll, most of the people are against the VR increase to 14.

Are you talking to yourself?
I have 4 VR characters the highest at VR3, and all three gear crafts plus cooking at 50 .. your theory fails.Maverick827 wrote: »It's starting to appear more and more like those who are upset are end-game players with legendary equipment and those who aren't are casuals who are still leveling up and who won't lose anything.

I do love a well reasoned and thought out opinion .. guess I'll have to look elsewhere for one because this is entirely fatuous.Stonesthrow wrote: »How dare they give me more content, stupid MMO…
A couple more levels and new gear? New Mini-Trial? New half-a-zone? More quests, achieves, mobs, dungeons and loot? New trait and new matts maybe? Those jerks…. the nerve...
I wanted to wait a year before I had to do new stuff. WTF!!!
To think... I could have used up all my gold upgrade materials after they announced the Champion System is coming down the pike and then they reshuffled all the traits on the gear sets. I felt really confident that with Champion a few months away (probably) that the best thing I could do was use up at least a hundred grand in gold on matts to squeeeeeek out those few points of uber leetness. Seemed like the right move, sorry I didn't partake now. And if I had, I could have come to a forum and whined about it. Maybe even quit! Over gear… wow.
That said… I REALLY will have to uber upgrade my new VR14 goodies because that will really be it before Champion goes into play I bet… /facepalm
Where is my Rosin? Where is my Bow? I need to fiddle…
TLDR: To bad, not telling.
@ZOS… Keep up the good work! Looking forward to most of what you have stated is coming.
