Sun Shield vs Immovable.

I am a light armor Templar, I wonder what would be best for both pvp and pve, the damage reduction and cc immunity from immovable, or the damage shield from Sun Shield? How do these two defensive skills compare to each other in each situation?

Sun shield scales off of health. I think sun shield scales up really nicely if you have a lot of health. If you're not stacking as much health, then Immoveable might be a good alternative.

They're pretty much apples and oranges: too different to compare directly. Which one you use is down to playstyle. You can even use both if that tickles your fancy.

Overall though, Immovable is generally only used in PvP; if you're after an armour/resistance buff in PvE then Rune Focus is cheaper/stronger/longer lasting. Sun Shield can trivialise many PvE bosses (particularly with Blazing Shield) and is very strong in PvP as well, but CC tends to be the killer in PvP.

Immovable works great with light armor as a CD.

Blazing Shield is a core class ability and I highly recommend taking it, as it's definitely worth two skill points. Blazing Shield should not be looked at as a CD as it is cheaper than most heals and lets you whittle down multiple people beating on you. If you stack magicka and magicka regen, it is straight up amazing now.

Blazing shield will give you a minimum of 1/3 of your health for a relatively low amount of magicka. As an imperial Templar I'm at 3k unbuffed. I go to Cyrodil and hit up a bit of food and im rocking 3800-4000 health. As you get 4% for each target you're near when you activate let's say an average of 2 targets nearby makes it an even 40%. 40% of 4000 = 1600. So for like 300 magicka you get a 1600 damage shield and an 800 AoE hit as half of that shield is going right back to the attacker. And that's without crit.

    Awesome skill.
