so how does one log in a spy? ive got 3 ep tunes and an AD and a dc toon. now when i try to pick a campaign that has a toon of opposing faction already set as home or guest it says i cant join that campaign as either home or guest.
so even if i wanted to use these guys as spies how is it even possible?

They spend the money and start an alt account..this is why its allowed. Stopping this would take $ out of ZOS pocket.

This whole thread is hilarious.
It's not an exploit, since they're using standard game mechanics and not using any bugs. It's a strategy, and by all accounts, a winning one. What you need to do is come up with a counter. Do that, and they'll move on to something else.
They're outsmarting you, I know. Outsmart them back.

nah - it's an exploit
you use the exact same lame excuse that exploiters in the game have done so far - 'oh - it's in game so they must have intended it'
some prime examples:
chain pulling enemies up onto walls - intended - chain pulling dozens of enemies up onto wall to let them take the keep - unintended - result - nerfed
siege weapon limit of 20 - intended - using it to sabotage legit defence of keep - unintended - result - siege weapon decay hugely accelerated
emperor farming - changing of emperor - intended - organized flipping of the title between two factions every hour - unintended - result - new abdication timer in place and potential changes to former emperor buffs coming down the road
dragonleap to enemey player/npc - intended - dragon leap to get past closed enemy scroll temple gates - unintended - result - nerf coming
so .... back to the forward camps - it is NOT intended to place forward camps in such a manner as to sabotage an attacking/ defending force - result - Brian Wheeler has already said they are aware of the broken and unintended use of the mechanic, and as a result guild forward camps are in the works
so as you can see - your feeble and failed excuse doesn't stand up when it's looked at properly

Woah, calm down dude, just playing devil's advocate here.
I was suggesting that you [plural] counter that tactic with a better one, and you [singular] change the subject in reply.
And of course they're going to change the game to accommodate your [plural] complaints, I've explained this in another thread. It's part of the business model. It's natural that you would think that BW agrees with you. Whether he does or not isn't actually relevant.
Having said that, I'm not advocating outright cheating, as you seem to want to suggest--forgive me if I misunderstood. I'm actually just dishing a little of the old "l2p" medicine. ;-)
Dleatherus wrote: »i'd rather people stopped dishing out l2p advice when it involves countering exploits - why not dish out some good old fashioned 'learn to play without resorting to cheating' medicine?

Placing a forward camp in an inconvenient location for the enemy isn't cheating, just clever, not to mention ingenious.

Cause that's what they were doing a few weeks back and they didn't even need 2nd accounts.

It might have been clever/ingenious the FIRST time someone did it.
Now, its just run of the mill, old hat, seen it, will see it again tomorrow.
Dont prop people (or even yourself?) using things that have become so widespread and well known about that they might as well be considered FOTM "tactics" at this point.
Next youll tell me that light armor/staff or oil parties are still clever. Necrotic Orb/Barrier spam is the true ingenuity of this game... oh wait.
