Would you like to see an option to hide different armor pieces?

Yes, I'd like the option to be able to hide whatever I wanted, even if I do or don't plan to use it.
I'd like to hide those ridiculous hip plates that look like they're floating four inches away from your body.

I have a question, if a player chooses to hide his helmet, is it also hidden on my screen or just his? If it is indeed hidden on my screen too, i do not like it. As i want to see what armour people have on. If it's only for their screen then i am fine with it.

I only ask because i have never used it my self and i see many players without helmets.

If somebody has their helmet hidden it is hidden for everyone. The reason for this is because some people take pride in how they designed their character and want to show it, and don't want to be having to swap their helmet off and on every time they hang out in town for awhile.

Also, some people, myself included, just really dislike how helmets look and don't want to have to look at them.

In that case i would not like every bit of armour be togglable.

    Helmet is fine.

It doesn't really matter to me, I just want to see the results or "Other" to which I'll explain in the comments!
I just wish that hoods (for light armor) didn't force us to wear facemasks at the high level. I'm not a surgeon. I'm not a ninja. Why must I wear a facemask? I'm a Templar, and I've got nothing to hide. I stare daedra in the face, and then stab them repeatedly with an aedric spear. I want them to see my face so they can remember the mortal that beat them in over and over.

That's another option as well. On one of my characters I love to use the face mask with the hood, on another I prefer not but I use a VR12 warlock hood on that character and the only option is hide it completely or leave the face mask, so I hide it completely. Having this sort of option is definitely something I'd like as well.

Alternatively, I'd like to be able to use lower level armor models for higher level gear I make. I like how some of the low level gear, like entry level argonian medium armor, looks and shows some skin, but you dont really have that option at vet ranks.

I would like to clarify that I stand by my vote, but only if chest and legs are *not* optional. If you want to run around naked, you should have to suffer the consequences of that...let your fleshy bits be exposed to the various plagues, blades, and other detrimental-to-your-health ordeals. :P

But shoulders and those little bits stuck to your hips? On some armors, they look fine, but on others? Bleurgh. Looks downright ridiculous on my Sorceror.

The bits on your hips are Faulds, well not quite, but the nearest thing they resemble is faulds.

And shoulders and those was what I put down too, I used the shoulders only vote and added faulds as an addendum.

Because I also don't want to see people running around with no chest piece, or worse trouserless (one Nord was WAAAY too much thank you).

Edit~bolded part of the text since people are ignoring that they been named, sort of.

Well it's clear so far at least the majority want some more options, and it seems safe to agree on shoulders and those "faulds" Additionally, as mentioned previously... I'd like to see an option for the face mask on set pieces like the veteran Warlock hood as being optional to toggle on/off.

It could be fun, especially for roleplayers to hide some part of their armor to have let's say a bare chest Nord barbarian, or a character walking bare foot, without getting rid off the precious stat of said armor.

Now, I do not think it's gamebreaking nor anything that should be prioritised.

Yeah I still do not get why we have those. It's really badly designed. It serve no purpose and just enlight the clunky doll like animation of the body. Its not beautiful. Its not usefull. Why have it?

As others said above, I'd also like an option to remove those hip plates. I like the Khajiit medium chest, but those hip plates nearly ruin the look I'm going for.

if they do this i want a force veiw option, like in games like darkfall, people could hide helm, but there was the option for me that was call force show, and it allowed me to see your helm even if you had it hidden, so if they add this they need to add the force show option, more options never hurt.

Voted 'shoulders only' as that is the only piece of armor I would wish to hide besides the helmet. If hiding shoulders ever were to become an option, I'd be really happy! ^^

I'm fine with most options, but not pants. That's just dumb.

Also completely naked toons should be replaced with a message over their head that says, "I am 12 and haven't learned about the birds and bees yet" or "I am an adult and my last date required the use of a bicycle pump".

The hip plates look stupid and I would like the option to show off the arm tattoos that I last saw at level 2 when I found some armour.

I'd also like to run around naked once in a while just to annoy the whiners in the crowd.

Oh, so I'm not the only one who hates who the shoulders stick out. And the Tail Flap, I think that looks stupid too.

What I'd like is to have a design choice in armor that allows me to have a not-ridiculous shoulder thingie, and no Tail Flap.

I actually wear the Servant Disguise all the time, because the shoulders and Tail Flap thingie look so stupid to me.

I agree. One way to make everyone happy is to make a hide all/show all and force-show option (but never force hide).

Hiding some shoulders would be nice, but what I'd REALLY like is to hide the hip-pads/half-skirt things that come on all the chest armor. It seems there is hardly any good armor that does not have one or the other. The hip pads float oddly on the sides of the character, and I really just want a shirt - not a half-dress! I think they both look dumb.

But I do agree with others here saying they don't want to see people running around naked. Give us the ability to hide the peripheral pieces only.

A few problematic things with what some of you are asking... The faulds are part of the chest armor, which I imagine would make it kind of hard to separate and show only part of the chest armor. Another issue is with the belt. The belt slot only holds the buckle, the body of the belt is part of the chest armor as well. That's why when you remove just your chest armor you have a strangely floating buckle over your bare stomach.

I think the best option here is to be able to craft costumes that require at least one slot to be filled. You could have a costume crafting station that displays your inventory and 7 armor slots. You pull piece you've already crafted/dyed from your inventory and hit craft costume. It would consume the pieces you added and spit out the costume.

If they would step out of the 80's with the Shoulders, then nothing needs to be hidden, other than the Helmet. I always feel like I headed to a casting call for Dynasty when I put on my armor.
