Combat & Gameplay

Added /follow command.

Added a new interface for duels (1v1) and skirmishes (2v2-8v8). Dueling is only allowed in the combatant’s practice ring located in your faction’s main city, outside of the Arena.

Added a key bind option to soft-lock onto a friendly target. Friendly soft-lock will be a green colored bracket, comparable to the current enemy soft-lock.

Changed the way non targeted priority spells such as healing work. The new priority list is as follows: Soft-lock raid member > Soft-lock Alliance member > Lowest health raid member > Lowest health Alliance member.

Critical roles are now calculated prior to critical reductions such as Impenetrable. In essence, abilities that apply an effect based on critical chance, will still apply the effect even if the ability doesn’t crit due to critical reduction. An example of this is the Sorcerer’s Critical Surge- The caster will still receive healing as if his ability was a critical strike, even if Impenetrable stops the critical strike from occurring.

All forms of crowd control now have immunity timers equal to 1.5 times their duration, not to drop below 3 seconds.

A fourth resource bar has been added, Resolve. Resolve is now the resource used for Dodge Roll, and Break Free. Under general circumstances, a full bar of Resolve allows for 3 uses of either Dodge Roll, or Break Free.

Self-casted abilities may now overwrite each other. Example: If you are currently affected by Hardened Ward, you can now recast Hardened Ward overwriting the original.

Becoming hidden no longer provides an immunity window. If a projectile is fired, even if you become hidden in transit, that projectile will now land and break stealth in the process. Invisibility is not affected.

Skills

Impulse and its morphs now have a 1.1s cast-time; damage has been increased by 15%.

Uppercut and its morphs have had their cast times reduced by .3 seconds, and Wrecking Blow now applies to all subsequent damaging abilities, including Wrecking Blow.

Volley and its morphs damage increased by 25% (does not affect Scorched Earth periodic damage).

Force Shock and its morphs no longer register as projectiles for reflection purposes.

New Skill line

New Instrument skill line has been added to the weapon skill arsenal.

Captivate- 1.2s Cast time- Put's target to sleep for 8 seconds, damage breaks this effect.
Morphs- Captivate Legion- Now Area of Effect with 8m radius (6 target cap).
Mesmerize- Target is stunned for 2 seconds when effect ends.

Hymn of Coordination- Toggled, decreased magicka by 10% - Increases group run speed by 70%, mounts not affected, speed bonus lost during combat.
Morphs- Hymn of Balance- Also adds 10% Spell Resistance and Armor to group members affected. This effect is doubled on the caster.
Hymn of Equilibrium- Also adds 10 each to Stamina, Magicka, and Health regeneration to all group members affected. This effect is doubled on the caster.

Restorative Melody- Channeled- Restores 600 Magicka and Stamina to all group members excluding the caster while channeling, but draining 300 Magicka from the caster per second.
Morphs- Restorative Anthem- Caster may move at reduced speed while channeling.
Empowering Melody- Reduces damage taken while channeling by 25%.

Shriek- 1.2s Cast time- Decreases the targeted enemy’s Magicka and Stamina by 251 for 8 seconds.
Morphs- Battle Howl- Also does 269 Damage.
Bellow- Also lowers the enemy’s attack speed by 8%.
Amplify Potency- 1.2s Cast time- Increases a friendly target’s Magicka and Stamina by 251 for 8 seconds.
Morphs- Amplify Aggression- Also increases attack speed by 8%.
Bolster Strength- Also heals target for 575 over the duration.

New Level 50 Weapon skills

A sixth weapon skill, unlocked at level 50 in the respective line is now available for all weapon types.

Sword and Shield- Bodyguard- Protect the closest ally within 5 meters from the next damaging attack made against them. This attack cannot be blocked.
Gaze of Protection- Now intercepts next two damaging attacks, and lowers damage taken from these attacks by 15%.
Guardian’s Reprisal- Reflect 50% of damage taken from intercepted attack back to the attacker.

Bow-

Two-handed- Heart Thrust- Instant- Target takes 440 damage.
Morph1- Now cleaves a second target for 60% of the damage inflicted.
Morph2- Now interrupts casting targets stunning them for 2 seconds.

Dual Wield-

Restoration- Revitalize- .8 second Cast time- Heals two friendly targets for 310.
Morph1- Heals 4 targets in range.
Morph2- has a 20% chance to dispel one negative effect on target.

Destruction- Nametbd- 1.5s Cast time- Target takes 455 damage, damage type based on staff equipped.
Morph1- Has a 20% chance to knock target down for 1 second.
Morph2-

Instrument- Constraining Cadence- 1s Cast time- Roots the target in place, rendering them unable to move for 8 seconds. Damage breaks this effect.
Morph1- Target is slowed for 4 seconds when effect ends.
Morph2-

Crafting and Economy

Crafting components (Resins, Alloy’s, Wax, etc) are now slightly easier to obtain when refining raw materials. This includes all rarities.

Increased the amount of refined materials needed to craft an item. Alchemy, Enchanting, and Provisioning are unaffected by this change.

You may now redesign the look of an armor or weapon using the new tab located in the crafting interface. Redesign requires a skill of 50 in the respective crafting skill line. Some non-crafted items cannot be redesigned.

Woodworkers can now craft instruments. Various styles are available, based on motif (Lute, Drum, Flute). Example- A Daedric Instrument may be a Lute, whereas a Nord instrument may be a Drum.

Alliance War

Removed forward camps.

Significantly reduced Alliance point gain from taking or defending an objective.

Increased the Alliance point gain from enemy faction kills.

Eliminated the Alliance point gain from defending for those who did not actively play a part in the defense of an objective. Point accumulation is now based on damage output, healing output, siege usage, and siege repairs.

Removed campaign guesting, you may now move freely between available campaigns.

Removed the Bow of Shadows Campaign.

Former Emperor no longer provides passive bonuses. This is now a title only.

Dungeons and Group Content

Added a new dungeon to Cyrodiil, located just south of the Imperial city, central to all three factions. The intent of this dungeon is to give players an alternative leveling option, outside of questing with multiple mini-bosses worth higher-than-average XP, and drop a satchel with a chance at high level crafting ingredients inside to include Herbs, Runes, Superior and above improvement materials, and harder to find provisioning materials. Minibosses are meant for small groups of 2-3, other enemies are balanced for solo or duo players.

Veteran dungeons now reward Undaunted Badges, to be used as currency at the new Undaunted Quartermaster in major cities. These badges are obtained by each boss in the dungeon, scaling upwards for the last boss in the dungeon. You can exchange these for crafting materials, Motif’s, mini-pet’s, costumes, and other miscellaneous items.

Trials have been redesigned. These instances are now raid instances, meant to act as a challenge for larger groups than 4. Bosses drop loot in a traditional manner. New trial mode available for these dungeons, as well as Veteran dungeons of all difficulties. At the end of each trial cycle, the top ranking teams will receive bonus loot, including a costume to show off their heroic deed. All future content will be designed in a more traditional “raiding” atmosphere.

User Interface

The chat window is now more customizable, allowing you to detach tabs from the main window, pinning them to each other as desired. Example, you can now show the main chat window as is but also put a guild tab on top of that chat window, having two separate chat boxes anchored to one another.

There is now a fully working combat log. Information is completely customizable in the settings menu.

A option for Death Spam has been added to the chat window, found under the combat tab settings. Example: Reapd has been killed by Drexill in Northern Cyrodiil.

Animations

Blood spatter decals have been added to melee attacks.

You can now interact with world objects such as beds, chairs, benches, altars, etc.

There's much more I'd do, but this is a start for my wishlist... I feel it's already getting out of hand for one patch. Anyone else have any ideas? :)

Everything that you listed would break the game for months and they would have to issue 50 patches just to fix that patch.

That's one mixed bag. Everything in there from the slightly more useful to the totally overpowered/unbalanced to the come again?! why on earth would you want that?

But before even more stuff gets put onto that pile, I'd like to see the rationale behind every single proposed change. Jotting down things from the top of one's head is easy, explaining and substantiating them is hard.

Let's start easy: why do you want a /follow command? What purpose should it serve, or is there a (severe) lack of functionality which would be remedied by it? Is there a wide demand for it? What are the possible impacts on player behavior, or server performance/stability (think about hundreds of players trying to build an AFK train just for the fun of it)? Can its use be limited to pure convenience, or could it be exploited situationally?

Like anyone's opinions, you offer some thoughts that some will like, and others will not. Some practical, some less so. If you were an actual game developer you'd now be bombarded by everyone who disagrees with you, calling you names, predicting your doom. Par for the course.

In reality, few things are as inflammatory as people like to characterize them, nor are all the suggested answers as utterly, flawlessly brilliant as the author might hope. Since ZOS has literally millions of dollars invested in this game and managed to build everything we see here today, I venture to say they have more hanging on success than any of us players, and are probably doing their best to refine the game over time. I'd think we'd keep suggestions on a positive note, understanding they are just one person's opinion.

Honestly I renamed the thread from "Wish list" to a doom and gloom name because it wasn't getting feedback, it picked up a lot when I made it negative.

As for the follow command, it's in pretty much every other mmo out there. It's to keep your group together better... Anyone who has tried to run organized in ESO would understand... But it also ties in with the group speed chant. It's 100% a group perk.

Most of my ideas focus on group PvP, and make zerging less attractive so ESO doesn't fade into irrelevant territory like other zerg mmo's like gw2 and Warhammer online. These changes push it closer to Dark age of Camelot.

I replied about follow, but what other items would you say are highly imbalanced or unwelcome? I'd say I overshot on Impulse, that should be more like a 1 second cast time.

It's funny, that's exactly where I got it... there was a segment on the Daily Show the other day about journalists renaming news headlines to get more readers and such. I remember back in WoW gold farmers used to make threads with weird names, like "my teachers sexleg, wow!" and get tons of traffic.

    Anyway.

it really is, it was a stealth nerf to werewolves because they were too lazy to actually fix the bug. I mean, was it even that much of a priority to fix it? Why would anyone even want to stay in werewolf longer than necessary?
