Sometimes, when wandering about in any zone, I sometimes cross paths with RP groups doing their thing. Sometimes, these groups are so well structured and creative that I can't help but stop and watch them, just because it's so interesting. As a former RP'er myself I sometimes wish I could join in, but often don't feel like it's my place to walk in uninvited.
For instance, a week or so ago I came upon a group of Orcs RP'ing as a tribe out in Glenumbra. The people involved were great writers and seemed to play their characters very well. I followed them from a distance for awhile, just watching, as I was greatly entertained by the whole thing. I don't remember any specific character names at this time, but kudos to the people who were involved in that.. I was impressed. This wasn't the first or last occasion for me for stumbling across very entertaining RP moments in this game. I think it's a great element that adds to the atmosphere significantly.
So, I figured I would start a discussion here about this. Please share any interesting/epic/humorous moments you have had when encountering an RP group unexpectedly.

Also, a question for RP groups themselves: How keen are you generally on random people playing along uninvited (provided they're actually attempting to participate in the RP event and not trolling or making fun of you)? I'm curious about this as if I see that the general consensus is that it's ok for people to randomly join in, I may actually feel less awkward about doing it in the future.
For discussion's sake, please keep in mind that this is not a thread to make fun of roleplayers, but to discuss interesting occurrences you may have had with one in the game.
