Was great fun all day until EP and DC decided to join forces and the lag made it impossible to play. Skills not working. Couldn't change weapons. Couldn't go through doors. Good fights though!

there was always this strange possibility of spending that time making contacts and organising some fun small scale gvg or gvgvg for when he gets his puter back up and running

Errrrrr, what? PvP to colour your clothes, get a title and meaningless player kills from dumping oil on them? Also, what would this AP acquired gear be good for if not to win the campaign? You don't need that gear (and it sux anyway)-farming AP can be done naked. And I thought Emperorship was just time in game, not skill.... So who really cares about it? The Emp farmers say there is no need to remove the passives for former Emps because they aren't really much to speak of anyway... So why would a person want it so bad?

Oh well, different strokes, right? At least I understand the mindset and realize they are not worth my time.

Hey Mod i think you missed a bit of the names that were being shammed here, you got 1 guild mentioned twice, then you got a player mentioned exploiting and the guild his in. So just curious what exactly got edited out.

Hey, I'm not defending them. I only mentioned the benefits that come along with earning AP and pointed out that AP can be used to buy things other than siege equipment. I've never been an AP farmer and I care about my campaign.

If people are farming AP without the intent to spend it, level up their rank, or go for emperor, I'm guessing they 1) like farming and/or killing players, or 2) are farming AP to try to prevent non-farming players in their alliance from catching up until a campaign reset, which might be an issue in a longer campaign.


I don't speak with the mindset of an AP farmer; my attempt was to answer your question as to why anyone would bother to farm AP even if they did not care about their campaign.

Edit: I don't like the AP vendor armor sets, but unless I'm way off the mark I think the set bonuses that don't specify player/siege damage still apply for PvE/outside of Cyrodiil.
