I thought "meh".

Don't get me wrong, I'm delighted for all of those people who enjoy getting together in groups to do raids. I hope they have a great time and get good gear.

However, after reading some of the other polls on this page and seeing that a majority of people appear to solo part or much of the time, I'm hoping they eventually release some solo content.

I've never enjoyed it when games allow you to solo up to a certain level then force you to group after that level.

But I am happy for those who enjoy grouping - it appears you should have something to look forward to in the next big update.

Preaching to the choir. A lot of us are utterly disinterested in trials. I generally find I don't want to group with the usual elitist jerks who do them a lot, so I don't care for new trials.

Being a solo player has always been more appealing to me than joining a group so I'd also prefer to have more solo-able content to come out but at the same time I have no problem with anyone who enjoys grouping.

Hmmm. I agree on your "Meh" for the video, Wasnt like the update 3 video where I was like a giddy little schoolgirl I was so exited. Im a 70% solo and 30% group player (0% pvp) and I do like it that it gives you so much of the game solo. After all it is an MMO so I do like that you have to group up to finish this game. At the moment I'm just waiting for Vvardenfell (Morrowind Fanatic).

Same here. I'm a solo player the majority of the time and prefer groups of 4 or so at the most. I've only done AA once and it was fun but I'm not one for all the preparation and waiting for a group to get its crap together.

Vvardenfell's a Tribunal nature preserve atm, exceedingly unlikely they'd open it up for exploration. There aren't even any towns on it.

Oh right Update 4. Dear solo players: you've already got the entire game. Nothin' wrong with more group content.
    Thank Stendarr it’s Fredas.

Totaly agree. I imagine they will bend the lore more to have the entire Tamriel usable for this MMO rather than having so much of it blank.

Well if it makes you feel any better what they did to the VR content probably added more soloable content then the 4 updates together will add to group content.

    :p

Right? There are a ton of places we've never gotten to see yet that would be way more interesting than Vvardenfell atm.

Seconded. But not so much because of the sort of content that's shown, but for the making of it. It really looks like there wasn't put much thought and effort behind it. It's looks like someone said:

"Hey, lets just have a couple of random, disconnected tracking shots put one after another, to show off some sights. And then let's repeat that, until the specified time is met."

No story, no dramaturgy, no nothing. Just a tick-off list of features.

Ok, maybe I'm spoiled by the way the 800 pound gorilla in the room does it. But let's not forget that after all, it took them some time to get their bearings on style and presentation, and hone their composition skills, too.

Let's just say that ZOS has wiggling room for improvement, which in itself isn't necessarily a bad thing.

Damn, you just described ESO in one sentence...lol

    :(

I have said it before (and will stand by my comment) each update 'should' contain something for ALL the player groups, solo, group, pvp, RP. At least then everybody would get something !

The biggest issue with Trials and Dungeons is always that you must be interested in it and that you must find others who are interested in you. It may sound simple but in reality this breaks the neck of so many MMOs lately.

First of all do players not meet anyone until max level but they also don't learn about group mechanics, CC, how to heal or tank - as its all about DPS. At max level however they must know all this before entering a raid or dungeon which leads to the big problem number two, the community.

Most people that do trials or dungeons expect that you have a long MMO history, that you theory craft and min max your char. They don't accept that you are not like them and this leads to abuse & harassment in many groups.

It is fully understandable that players are afraid of this and therefore not interested in this type of content.

A solution to this was the VR zone, you didn't had to invite someone nor did you have to "attune" yourself to a raid leader but still could explore the MMO world with others.

Right now ZO doesn't do its gamers a big favor by releasing another update that many wont touch, its not about solo or group its all about accessibility it always was.

These "trials" should be moved into an open world zone and then everyone could fight these encounters just like it worked in the old VR zones or with the Anchors now.

World bosses that scale to the players around them, bosses that occur from time to time. That whole instance design worked 10 years ago, today it doesn't anymore thanks to Elitism.

    I think Meh also.

Zenimax must have a very limited perception of what the gaming community wants.

What should be priorities for Zenimax:

    1) Reduce or remove bugs from the game
    2) Improve gameplay
    3) Make the experience fun

But what Zenimax instead gives us:

    1) Grind for little or no benefit
    2) Insulting quest rewards
    3) Crashing, laggy, buggy game experience

So please, Zenimax, work on this:

    1) Revamping the item/equipment system. It's very bland right now
    2) Create interesting, changing end game content that doesn't consist of running the same dungeons over and over again.
    3) Work on an end-game advancement system (i.e. their so-called "champion system" or whatever better alternative there may be)
    4) Adjust the ability and combat system to make it more balanced to allow for less button mashing, and more strategy

1.4 is just an excuse to say they are making new content.
