Last night I took my VR12 EP character on a shopping spree for glyphs to continue leveling Enchanting. I was also looking for good prices on purple recipes given how they are slowly flooding the market. I visited every guild kiosk in the capital city of all 15 alliance zones along with Craglorn. I must have visited 90-100 kiosks as some cities had 7 or 8 instead of the usual 5.
Anyway, in a handful of these kiosks, I found some low level green and blue recipes - ones that had Recipe Improvement levels of 1-3 - which I did not know because I did not find them on my rapid march through the low level zones. Yet every single one of these unknown, low level green and blue recipes ranged in price from 2000g - 5000g. I found a green unknown recipe that was improvement level 1 which had an asking price of 2000g. A green recipe probably found on a starter island or maybe even in the Wailing Prison had a price of 2K! I was absolutely astounded by these prices. With a couple of exceptions, most of the listings were from the past three days.
Does anyone have any explanation for these ridiculously high prices? There were too many of these listings from multiple players to be the result of user error, such as mistakenly entering 5000 instead of 500 and then submitting the listing. Are there players, presumably new ones, who are so oblivious to the reality of the game's economy? Are there green and blue recipes which actually so rare that they can command prices of 5K? Are there players out there willing to pay these high prices for these low level recipes? Are any of you AD and DC players seeing the same thing in the guild kiosk stores in your zones?
