Honestly, summoned pets should just be disabled in cities. That would prevent people who are intentionally using their pets in banks and similar locations to annoy others, and it would also prevent people who simply forget to de-summon them.

its why people use the stupid companion pets so much also, they always get stuck in doorways and you have to jump over them or try to wiggle passed

Just in case people do not know this - you can pass a blocked doorway simply by using a forward roll-dodge. It completely ignores collision (even with normal NPC's)

Trouble is, there are baddies in cities, and houses. My mage doesn't use pets, but I'd be unhappy tying to fight a baddie in town if you declared "no lightning in town!"

I hate the damn things, but turning collision off would cause less problems.

Indeed there are many cases in which a city is under siege, burning, full of hostiles, turned to stone, take your pick, until a certain quest is completed. I keep my sorc pets around when that is the case, since, because of phasing, players who have completed the related quests and can now peacefully use the city facilities, are in another instance anyway. When the situation is resolved and the place is back to normal, the merchants are back etc, it's time to unsummon the minions.

Oh yeah, that's true. Of course, collision isn't really the problem with the winged twilights - it's their flapping wings.

I'm getting tired of this BS and I'm not going to put up with it anymore.

The only way we have to fight back against greifing is the report button, if a few get reported and banned for this it will send a message to the rest.

I got stuck on a pet at a wayshrine too the other day. There were so many people stacked up I eventually had to log out. I couldn't get free of it. I bug reported it but now that I know people intentionally do this, I'm going to start reporting it as abuse.
When this happens hit escape twice, then you should be able to move normally. This has happened to me a few times, and this worked to let me move each time.

The first thing I did was try to roll out of it at the shrine but, several times in fact, no animations worked not even jump...it seems you get stuck inside the pet's collision mesh and can't move out of it.

To answer the OP's initial question, yes this is a reportable offense, as doing this intentionally is considered griefing. As others in this thread have pointed out, roll-dodging allows you to move through sorcerer pets. It's also worth noting that these pets having collision is something that will be fixed soon.

I do hope collision is fixed soon! In the meantime I suppose I will have to try roll dodging through doorways and escape keying at wayshrines.

But will we just have to live with the wings flapping in our faces at banks and crafting stations?

At the dye stations you don't see other characters while you're using it, so theoretically it shouldn't be difficult for ZOS to set it so that while you're at banks, merchants, crafting stations you don't see pets either.

This is exactly why there needs to be a "dead zone" around each vendor/banker where no abilities function at all. This way pets will get unsummoned.
I am not spending a single penny on the game until changes are made to the game that I want to see.
    1) Remove having to be in a guild to sell items to other players at a kiosk.
    2) Cosmetic modding for armor and clothing.
    3) Difficulty slider.
    4) Fully customizable player housing that isn't tied to anything in the game other than having the correct resources and enough gold to build. Don't tie it to PvP, guild membership, or anything at all. Oh, make it instanced so as not to take up world map space, too. Zeni screwed this one up already.
Any /one/ of these things implemented would get me spending again, maybe even subbing.

This is highly annoying. I couldn't get in to the Furnace area/Blacksmithing area because so many people had their pets out. This isn't just minions either, this is also vanity pets as well. The other day I was on my horse racing through town and someone's monkey ran in front of me and made me come to a complete stop. This is just stupid.

They either need to make pets unsummon inside banks and at wayshrines, or fix collision detection. Or both, the little flappy wings are annoying as is all the eeping and barking.

That's true, but like I've said in this thread you can solve that without relogging by hitting escape twice. And that's a bug, whereas being able to roll through something that has collision turned on is intended functionality. Of course, when they fix it so that pets no longer have collision for friendlies, then hopefully that will fix the getting-stuck-in-a-pet-in-a-wayshrine bug.

Do we? I've seen studies that have attempted to prove whether it's innate or taught, but I haven't seen one which I've fully agreed with the methods.

Curious, I don't remember ever having a winged twilight interfere with clicking an NPC. If I had been asked I would have said you clicked through them just like PC's. Makes me want to experiment when I get home. (Note: I don't have a twilight yet)

FYI, even smaller pets like Razak's Spider seem to have collision with other people (not yourself). A friend and I were testing these and I didn't find one that doesn't have collision yet, they all seem to and really it needs fixing and should have been included in one of your last two hotfixes. It's pretty bad in some of the more popular places.

The same thing goes for vanity pets at the moment. I've seen banks completely clogged with Razark's Hope spiders with their owners oblivious to even /yell. I've never actually /report'ed anyone for this, though I've been close a few times. Happens a lot.

Even if there isn't collision, it's still rude in a confined space, especially with those Winged Twilights & their morphs.
