Healing Ultimate for Restoration Staff

Templars get the only easily accessible healing ultimate in the game. I heal as a Templar, but I find this to be annoying. So why not have one everyone can use?

What exactly it does is up for debate, but I have a suggestion.

Cost: 150 Ultimate
Create a 15-meter circle of protection for 10 seconds. When cast, allies in range receive healing (about what Healing Ritual does). Players within the area receive 10% less damage while the effect is active.

Morph 1: Restores 14/16/18/20 magicka and stamina per second to players in the area of effect (ignores regen caps).

Morph 2: Increased damage reduction to 14/16/18/20%.

This provides an actual burst option for everyone to use if they are a healer, so Templars aren't alone in that regard. It also has a morph Templars might prefer for the magicka management. The stamina regeneration might go a long way to stamina build viability as well.

Just a thought. Numbers / effects are off the top of my head.

To me, Ultimates are for Boss Fights. I would not use an Ultimate that heals ever in a Boss fight. I would hope my Healer had an Ultimate that heals, but I would not begrudge them throwing some DPS Ultimate at the Boss either, as long as they were healing along the way with the Skills.

didn't they just make a forum for these types of posts http://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/categories/EN-combat-skills

or was that for another purpose?

It was always there, buried in another category. The layout of these boards makes finding sub forums difficult.

I didn't think spellcrafting included ultimates? I don't know. Haven't read much into it. Not super excited about the mess that is likely to result from balancing that. And hey, maybe they did make a skill forum, I don't know. The forum sections are messy anyway. What doesn't qualify for general?

Also, if you're only using ultimates on bosses, you're doing it wrong. They're up constantly for trash. You can always swap bars for a different ultimate, as well. I use both my healing ultimate and nova on my templar.

Yea, if I remember right... it will include ultimates. And if they were to add an ultimate to resotoration staff, they'd have to add an ultimate to all the other weapons as well. Personally, I don't think it's necessary. If you want a healing ultimate, you play a templar. People have their reasonings for picking whatever class to do whatever job. If you were to play a sorcerer as a healer instead, then you should know that you're trading the templar abilities, including ultimates, for what you can get as a sorcerer. All this should have been weighed in the beginning upon making your character. Each class has it's pros and cons for each job. Some have more pros than cons. Others, vice versa. It's all about which you think is more important.

Not sure what you mean by "easily accessible", but two of the nightblade ultimates heal. 1 of 'em has a healing synergy, and that one and another can be morphed to heal w/o a synergy.

Dunno i play a templar , why i cant become inv like a NB? Or why cant i summon creatures like the sorc?

In the end , each class got different things into them.

Dont get me wrong , personally i would rather have no classes at all so we would not have this kind of issue , but that is not how it works.

Negate and Veil of Blade are more useful than healing. You can't heal a oneshot, but you can Veil or Negate them.
