Issues with the new group dungeon icons

I play 4 chars. 2 of the are already far into VR, one is fresh VR, last one is in early forties.
And I can not remember which char had done which group dungeon (because I have done them all, many, many times on various chars).
The old icons would show me if a char had been to and cleared (as in skillpoint) a dungeon - the new icons do not.
So... what is this crap feature now?
Can I have a toggle to get the old icons back please?

    I noticed that too. Very crapy IMO.

    We're investigating why group dungeons are appearing on the map as incomplete even after your character has finished them now. When we have an update on this issue, we'll be sure to let everyone know in our current Known Issues thread. Stay tuned there!

    If in doubt, you can always check your achievements. Not ideal, but it is a workaound for the moment.

    Meh, 1st) I like my map with white icons, 2nd) I like the old symbol more than the new cavelikewhatever... ;)

    Have you guys even tried to put your cursor on the dungeon icon? There is a message right underneath of the name of dungeon if you have completed it before.

    Btw, I'm not defending the icon appearance bug. It should be fix of course.

    I thought the second set of icons (pre-1.3.3) were just about perfect. Torch = small public dungeon, Torch with a plus sign = big public dungeon, Two torches = group dungeon. What was wrong with that? Both elegant and informative. The new icons may be more unique per dungeon type but are kind of ugly.

    They may indeed be more unique per dungeon type, but they're still arbitrary, and now (regardless of the completion bug) they're inaccurate to boot. They imply that Public Dungeons are all some sort of cave, and Group Dungeons are all some sort of ruin, which is not true at all. The art style of them doesn't match the other icons very well either. I agree the previous set of multiple torch designs was best. (Although the Craglorn delves should be one torch with no +, as they're delves and nothing else.)

    I never said they weren't. I was just saying that they are delves and should use the Delve icon. The whole of Craglorn is ostensibly designed for 4 people, so I was implying that having a specifically different icon for these delves is unnecessary.

    Previously, the Craglorn delves were iconned with the "Public Dungeon" icon, which is even more inaccurate, as they are instanced and not public. However, the recent icon update has changed the functionality of the icons, so now "Group Delve" is a thing with its own icon.

    It is quite clear that the old map icon designer was replaced by an artist who is less skilled in designing map symbols. I don't think there was a problem with the previous icons, and the new ones are not better, only different. In my opinion, they are far worse: open to literal misinterpretation, ugly, too big and with a different anti-aliasing that makes them stand out from the other icons.

    This looks like change for the sake of change to pretend they are improving things. People who cannot be bothered to learn how to read a map will fail to understand the new icons as well. Maybe a redesign of those icons could do some good, but this was not the answer. It's arbitrary and badly done.

    @ZOS_TristanK Why did you change the icons in the first place? There was nothing wrong with the old ones. The new ones are too big, different in style from other map icons and inaccurate to boot.

    Stuff like this gets acknowledged while I've seen nothing from ZoS regarding the fact that cyrodiil is crashing every half hour for many people.
    Force weapon swap to have priority over EVERYTHING. Close enough.
    Make stamina builds even with magicka builds.
    Disable abilities while holding block.
    Give us a REASON to do dungeons more than once.
    Remove PVP AoE CAP. It is ruining Cyrodiil.
    Fix/Remove Forward Camps. They are ruining Cyrodiil.
    Impenetrability needs to REDUCE CRIT DAMAGE. Not negate entire builds.
    Werewolf is not equal to Vamps/Bats.

    I must have gotten kicked 10 times yesterday - usually right in the middle of dire circumstance.

    I liked them the way they were. The "delve +" and "crossed delve" torch icons were just fine and very unambiguous. If it had a torch in the icon, it was a dungeon. Is that too confusing for people?

    I liked them the way they were. The "delve +" and "crossed delve" torch icons were just fine and very unambiguous. If it had a torch in the icon, it was a dungeon. Is that too confusing for people?

    Was nothing cheesy about those games back when we were playing them as they were released… they were awesome.

    That said and the nostalgia aside… I like them better than when it was all torches and better than when it was plus and crossed torches.

    I'd like them to fix the display of wether we have done them or not.

    Admittedly the torches could be confusing... perhaps we should split the difference. Keep Delves as one torch and Group Delves as torch + , make Public Dungeons two torches, and keep the new icons for Group Dungeons and Trials.
    It's that Public Dungeon cave that really grates on me...

    I prefer the old ones. That said, the only thing the map has ever been missing is a key. I'm pretty sure just about everybody died at least once before learning the skull/xbones meant it was a world boss, or at the very least group content. Until you were playing for a while, the different delve icons didn't really indicate anything, that weren't all that intuitive. (though IMO the new ones are even more unintuitive). (I think now though it actually says what type of delve it is when you hover over? Don't believe it used to)

    Now, I'll admit, maybe there is a key in the help section, but it wouldn't be too hard to put it on the map screen somewhere.

    I'm conditioned to read skull&bones as "stay away, death lurks here". But of course curiousity got the better of me and I still took them on and died. :D
