Thoughts on Vet Dungeons and end game

I come from wow and have had experienced lots of fun and some pain through the group finder.

The current vet dungeons are beautifully made and are a really fun experience with serious challenges. The issue I am having is that the group finder is empty and the players I know are reluctant due to the difficulty. This says to me that something must be done .

Do you make it easier or increase the benefits maybe involving a currency that can be collected.

It seems to me that this great part of the game is not being played or participated in enough and something needs to be done

Am I alone in this?

They are going to add Undaunted guild rewards , as well as loot to the dungeons. They are also going to scale them to the group leader so they can be played at any level.

I pray to the Eight they don't make places easier, they're so much fun with the right people!
More loot might be nice though. I like crafted gear, but it's a bit sad when I run a dungeon without one death and all my reward is 5 soulgems and some white/green trash. Dungeons do drop some pretty fun sets, but the droprate seems around 1 in 1000000000 and it's BOP so can't even be traded between group members.

That being said, finding people can indeed be a problem, I feel your pain. Easiest solution is probably guilds - a lot of them do a lot of dungeon running and have plenty of people experienced in this and enjoying that sort of thing. Try to find one that suits you and run with guildies.

Me, I prefer to run with friends usually, we're good but we always have a big problem finding a tank xD The few good ones I know are often unavailable and tanks in general seem a rare breed.

many of my veteran dungeons runs, I do with guild members and friends I have made growing up in Tamriel, thats why I dont use the group finder.

I can imagine many are doing the same

Please, do NOT turn this into a request for lowered difficulty. Vet dungeons are already easy enough (most competent groups learn the mechanics in 1-2 attempts). I agree that the reward system needs to be reworked to introduce more incentives beyond achievement hunting. Hopefully the Undaunted challenges will provide this.

As others have said, guilds are generally how most people are finding their groups these days.

honestly, the problem is 1) the group finder is horrible, it needs to be functional before I know I would be willing to use it at all, and 2) PUGs suck. I am hesitant to join a PUG simply due to the abusive nature of some people, and on the other end of the spectrum, the incompetence of other people.
Dear Sister, I do not spread rumors, I create them.

    Agree on all counts.

Started a new job and am playing at different time than my friends now other than on days off.

Been doing more PUGs last 2 weeks or so... the number of VR12 Craglorn grind solo freaks now trying to group is crazy in VR dungeons...with their solo/grind specs...clownshoes everywhere...

Not to mention a lot of VR2s seem to think they are the right level to do dungeons / delves in Craiglorn... Apparently Craiglorn is a VR1+ zone now...

I agree that random grouping needs some help, which is in the works. But if you have a coordinated group, dungeons are WAY too easy. My first time through one was with one experienced healer and two other vet dungeon newbies, and we cleared it in a decent time with only a single death. I've never done trials, but the general consensus with guilds that run trials a lot is that the difficulty of just the first boss should be as hard as difficult mode of the Mage. This game needs something for the hardened PvE vets, lots of things are pretty easy, even for randoms.

Certainly not my intention just highlighting that there may need better rewards. Please ESO do not adjust the difficulty of vet dungeons but increase the rewards
