This was posted in the PTS forum section but my question is not being answered there. So that is why I'm re posting it here.
Why is it that now that 1.3 is LIVE on main server it still downloads when I launch the launcher? I always need to pause it. This is on NA sever just to clarify.

They are two different servers. If you don't let the PTS finish downloading its going to keep trying until you do

I have a limit on my internet for each month and I really don't want to go over every time. I downloaded the PTS so that if I were to ever get un limit internet I could test on the PTS but until then I don't want to. For the other 2 big updates this did not happen if I recall not 100% sure. I remember someone saying the same thing that I am and the response was to go in options and tell the PTS not to update but I don't see that option.

Click the gear symbol in the launcher then uncheck the box that says "Show public test enviroment"

Does that stop it from downloading 100%?

Its no longer in your launcher so I assume so. You can renable it later on if you want to get back on the PTS. you will have to download whatever content you missed from that point.

Turn it off but then you have to go in and uninstall the PTS otherwise it will keep trying to download even with it not being on the launcher.

Why on earth would I uninstall it? I just want a way to have it paused/ stopped so that I don't have to always have to pause it manually.

Unless you uninstall it, it will keep coming up even tho it is not showing on the launcher. Believe me on this. I was going to download it. I paused it and turned it off in the settings. Everytime I opened the launcher it still wanted to finish installing. I had to remove it to get it to stop doing that.

Hey there, @basketball_rickyb16_ESO. Uninstalling PTS will stop it from attempting to download, as others here have mentioned. However, if you would like to keep PTS installed on your computer without it automatically updating, it's just a quick settings change.

First, please make sure that the PTS client is showing on the left side of your launcher. Select the PTS client so that it is highlighted. Next click on the "Game Options" dropdown under the "News" section of the launcher. Click on "Settings". The first option in the settings menu allows you to configure the Auto Update feature. If you set "Auto Update" to "Never", it will no longer try to download every time you open your launcher. Hope this helps!

I found it. It was a little hidden for me. I was looking at the cog on the upper right where you minimize the launcher and stuff but I found it now and hope this fixed it. Also just to be clear since I did this now it should always say update on the PTS and not do it automatic.
