I don't care if the egg costs 100k gold and you have to feed it or make it earn experience to make it grow or what ever (Lineage II), make it hard if you want, very hard, but please...
I want to fly a Dragon. As a Dunmer Dragon Knight I feel my class is unfinished without it. And well I'm not against sharing with other classes/races (except with Argonians, slaves should go on foot).
Are you kidding right? Have you ever read abour TES lore?
If you wanna flying mounts, go play something else, ESO is not for you.

Dragons won't be appearing, they are close to extiction, and only controllable by a strong Dragonborn(seriously, they won't even talk to most mortals let alone obey them), they will not obey us even if hatched from an egg.
Dragonknight has no actual connection to Dragons, possibly if the ancient past early Dragonknights fought them or learned from them, but that's tens of thousands of years ago.

Do you not see how this is impossible? You can not have flying mounts as at this time frame ESO is based in Dragons were not in the world [much]. They had been hunted to the brink of extinction, and shunned the races of Tamriel because of the dragon wars. It was not until the events of Skyrim they resurfaced and became a terror to the world again, and those events are some 800-900 years in the future. Zenimax would have to show they don't give a crap about the history of the world they have made an MMO about if suddenly they allowed everyone to have dragons as mounts. Doing so could be a deal breaker for a LOT of subscribers, I count myself in that.
no horses only that is all that has been in since arena and that is all that should be in, this is a bad idea flying mounts dont exist in es lore with the exception of dragons and they dont come back for 1300 or so years...
Yeah. It would be nice to have flying mount in eso. However, there are plenty of good mmorpg games, and more coming, that will have flying mounts. As much as I love eso, I also play other mmo games for variety. ArcheAge is one of that kind of games that I am playing right now that have flying mount and it's awesome. You may want to check it out.

Played my friends beta after he couldn't stand it any more and I couldn't literally play or stand the game past like lvl 15. If you like Korean dubbed cutscenes with no subtitles, grindy generic questing, sloppy translation job with quest text, and a wonky class system, that is very limited IMO, then Archeage is for you. As for me I gave it the sniff test it didn't pass. There are many reasons it went belly up in two other countries! If XLGames had given Trion full rights to the game and they did a full rework under the supervision of Scott Hartsman then I would be more intrigued. The game though is horrible it bit off more than it could chew. Great ambition with poor execution.

Why do you care what other people do? Nobody is forcing you to be awesome & ride a flying mount. You can say it doesn't interest you, that's fine but why impose a veto on other people's choices when it doesn't affect you?
Nobody is forcing you to look to the sky & see an awesome dude riding his dragon.

Having books that where written in the future wasn't a deal breaker, this wouldn't be as long as they invent a good story to justify the apparition of lesser dragons. It could be a reward for destroying Molag Ball's plans, an attempt to breed a new race of dragons (that would eventually fail to keep lore coherent).
As I said, every game adds lore to the TES universe. Saying "It isn't in lore so no" isn't a valid argument.

Like any free to play game or any game that ends up going free to play *cough* Aion/SWTOR*cough*. Great ideas, a lot of promises, and in the end: Cr*p.

Yes I would say that RIFT was by far the best game I have played in a very long time then Scott Hartsman left and the game went F2P. It took about two years and when it happened I could only keep myself engaged for another 6 months. It is always a sad day for me when a game I like goes F2P.

Sorry buddy. You can spin it however you like. Truth of the matter is dragons at this time were busy licking their wounds and staying away from the humanoid races because of the dragon wars. That is the reality of the time ESO is set in. Look, I know you want dragons to fly, I agree, being able to fly a dragon would be EPIC, but just because doing that would be epic and fun, does not mean it should be. Not saying players should not be able to fly some kind of mount [like some big bird maybe] or fly via levitation, but Dragons are NOT a possibility. [in the main world of ESO, whatever happens in some daedric princes domain stays in a daedric princes domain] Its not a lore thing at all really. They just are not a factor in the time this game is set in.

RIFT also made promises they couldn't deliver... I've been waiting for 10+ years for an MMO where actions have real consequences in the world for all the players, where players come together to try to achieve things and whether they fail or succeed, the world is impacted and modified by it permanently. RIFT's approach was more disappointing than anything else IMO since it failed to deliver on what was suposed to be a "revolution" in the MMO genre.

I'm happy with whatever flying mount, I'd just like to put my game in High definition & travel the world 8).
