-=Requesting Flying Mounts =-

I don't care if the egg costs 100k gold and you have to feed it or make it earn experience to make it grow or what ever (Lineage II), make it hard if you want, very hard, but please...

I want to fly a Dragon. As a Dunmer Dragon Knight I feel my class is unfinished without it. And well I'm not against sharing with other classes/races (except with Argonians, slaves should go on foot).

Edit: I'm also happy with levitation, Flying Pigs, big birds, Flying Argonians (NPCs we can mount ofc), Magic Carpets....

Edit 2: As I stated when I said: make it very hard, I don't expect a flying mount to be viable before VR ranks or even the end of VR ranks. There aren't many things to do in PVE after VR12 so flying around would be a nice addition. Also, about the fact flying allows to skip adds: It's not like adds are a challenge anyways, especially since VR ranks nerf (except maybe in craglorn where you aggro 20 of them at once but then again you can easily avoid them or run away from them...).

Not a single flying mount exists in lore, as far as I'm aware. Dragons aren't happening.

Yah cuz as many other forum posts have proven lore is respected in this game. It's not like we can find books in bookshelves that won't be written for hundreds of years.

A convenient (yet silly) explanation for the presence of the books exists in the game, and gives us the ability to have more than ~15 books to read. That's a fairly minor bump in the road compared to "oh btw there were dragons and we tamed them and everybody just forgot."

FYI - There is no such thing as 'night capping' in a world wide MMO.
FYI - There was no paid Beta. When they launched the game the Beta was over, even if you don't think it was.
    FYI - It's B2P not F2P. There is a difference.
FYI - It doesn't take any player skill to mash keys or buttons in this game. The ones that stay alive longer have the better internet connection and speed.
FYI - The game is not broken, it still works. It just has 'bugs' that need to be fixed.
    Balance is a "Bad" thing.

Example: There were hundreds of Jedi and only two Sith in Star Wars. The Jedi wanted, "Balance in the Force" and they got it. Now there are only two Jedi and two Sith.

    Balance is a "Bad" thing.

Dragons won't be appearing, they are close to extiction, and only controllable by a strong Dragonborn(seriously, they won't even talk to most mortals let alone obey them), they will not obey us even if hatched from an egg.

Dragonknight has no actual connection to Dragons, possibly if the ancient past early Dragonknights fought them or learned from them, but that's tens of thousands of years ago.

There does seem to be quite a bit of trouble with this.

Also, I've noticed that in most MMO worlds, the sky really isn't all that high and the ground not really all that deep.

Heck, here we can't even go underwater.

So I think - yeah, it would be nice to have a flying mount but considering that even bats can't really fly in this game it won't happen for quite awhile - and should be low priority.

The explanation was just there because of the fact they didn't want to write older lore. Just as a convenient and silly explanation for the books can be found, an other one can be used for tamed beasts that fly.

Why do you care what other people do? Nobody is forcing you to be awesome & ride a flying mount. You can say it doesn't interest you, that's fine but why impose a veto on other people's choices when it doesn't affect you?

That comment clearly indicates you don't know what you're talking about as far as this subject is concerned, as the experience of many years of this in WOW shows there are many negative effects caused by allowing flying in games like this, not to mention more widely felt effects on the community as a whole.

Flying mounts would be interesting, but I think they only work well in an open world. In a zoned world, you'd keep on ending up flying into invisible walls and such. From a lore perspective, I cannot think of any flying creature that could carry a person (dragons excluded for reasons already mentioned).

Because this is what happens every time.

People move over from WoW to new MMO's. A different MMO. Then they suggest everything to make it exactly the same as every other one, it ends up like a copy and they move on to the next different one doing exactly the same in one endless circle of generic MMO's that all end up the same.

No flying mounts please. Dragons aren't around.

It was only a matter of time before this request popped up. XD

Dragon Knights are "skillful masters-at-arms that use the ancient Akaviri martial arts tradition of battle-spirit, and wield fearsome magic that pounds, shatters and physically alters the world around them."

This doesn't many they know dragon-ridejitsu. Not sure how it makes the dragon knight less complete :p
And so did many brave men, women, and beast fall to the end of Beta, never to be heard from again. All that is left, is whispers of the adventures they had.

Add to that the only people in Tamriel that have any real interaction with dragons are the Greybeards and the Dragonborn.

Seeing as how neither are in the game, along with numerous other reasons, I think we can safely keep dragon mounts out of the game. And no we can't have the Dwemer as a playable race either. :p

Heck no! There is allready at least one major game which implemented flying to frikkin everywhere which lead to empty landscape and stupid dragons flaping all over major cities like corpse flies on a rotten zombie.

Plus flying mounts just dont belong to TES.
