Are you kidding right? Have you ever read abour TES lore?
If you wanna flying mounts, go play something else, ESO is not for you.

It will be when they implement it eventually 8-). As for wow: never played it, can'tbstand it.

    Flying mounts ftw!

I hope they never add them. Personally I think that was the biggest mistake wow ever made. I'm not just meaning for PVP ganking. It made all quests far too easy. Drop down at quest target, grab it, fly away, profit. No thank you.

No flying mounts please, that would be really immersion breaking.

but allow more cosmetic options to purchase with game gold for our existing mounts. or offer up a mule, donkey or other types of horses like percheron, walkers etc that one could 'skin' over their existing mounts.

Dragon mounts will never happen. The lore guys would be frothing at the mouth if they did that.

I wouldn't be opposed to riding a bull netch... if I can just figure out how to get past their stinging tentacles.

I hope they never add flying mounts in the game. Cause if they did add them people could bypass mobs by flying over them.

Just add the mount as a reward for completing main quest & forbid flying in towns:

    - No more people flying to get quests done.
    - Doesn't matter if they bypass mobs since at VR12 a good player steamrolls any trash anyways.
    - No empty towns.

Dragons won't be appearing, they are close to extiction, and only controllable by a strong Dragonborn(seriously, they won't even talk to most mortals let alone obey them), they will not obey us even if hatched from an egg.

Dragonknight has no actual connection to Dragons, possibly if the ancient past early Dragonknights fought them or learned from them, but that's tens of thousands of years ago.

Dragon eggs and dragonlings do not exist in ES lore.

hope you enjoy, its a decent read and very informative

Besides lore reason, if a game is not designed specifically with flying (to some extent even diving, though you can keep those worlds separated at least) in mind, implementing it at a later stage will pretty much render a very big portion of the game obsolete, since you can just bypass content via flying.

With the rather extensive fast travel shrine service all over Tamriel, the world already feels smaller than it should. Flying would shrink it even more. However, I could see it making it into the game, but only in secluded areas specifically designed for flight.

Who knows, some daedric prince might will something like that into it's small pocket of existence in Oblivion. You always wanted to ride butterflies into a sky hung with cheese, didn't you?

Yeah. It would be nice to have flying mount in eso. However, there are plenty of good mmorpg games, and more coming, that will have flying mounts. As much as I love eso, I also play other mmo games for variety. ArcheAge is one of that kind of games that I am playing right now that have flying mount and it's awesome. You may want to check it out.

Do you not see how this is impossible? You can not have flying mounts as at this time frame ESO is based in Dragons were not in the world [much]. They had been hunted to the brink of extinction, and shunned the races of Tamriel because of the dragon wars. It was not until the events of Skyrim they resurfaced and became a terror to the world again, and those events are some 800-900 years in the future. Zenimax would have to show they don't give a crap about the history of the world they have made an MMO about if suddenly they allowed everyone to have dragons as mounts. Doing so could be a deal breaker for a LOT of subscribers, I count myself in that.

    @ndantony‌: Sorry, I don't play Pay2Win games.
@Xnemesis: TES lore is incomplete and there is always room to add more. Those dragons could be lesser dragons (smaller size, not as intelligent as the other ones). Every ESO game adds lore to the game so you can't say "it isn't in lore so it can't be done" since if we sticked to the lore from the first game, a lot of things would be "impossible".

Having books that where written in the future wasn't a deal breaker, this wouldn't be as long as they invent a good story to justify the apparition of lesser dragons. It could be a reward for destroying Molag Ball's plans, an attempt to breed a new race of dragons (that would eventually fail to keep lore coherent).

As I said, every game adds lore to the TES universe. Saying "It isn't in lore so no" isn't a valid argument.

Played my friends beta after he couldn't stand it any more and I couldn't literally play or stand the game past like lvl 15. If you like Korean dubbed cutscenes with no subtitles, grindy generic questing, sloppy translation job with quest text, and a wonky class system, that is very limited IMO, then Archeage is for you. As for me I gave it the sniff test it didn't pass. There are many reasons it went belly up in two other countries! If XLGames had given Trion full rights to the game and they did a full rework under the supervision of Scott Hartsman then I would be more intrigued. The game though is horrible it bit off more than it could chew. Great ambition with poor execution.

Another person who wants to turn ESO into WoW. If you want to fly, play WoW, keep flyers out of ESO.

Why do you care what other people do? Nobody is forcing you to be awesome & ride a flying mount. You can say it doesn't interest you, that's fine but why impose a veto on other people's choices when it doesn't affect you?

Nobody is forcing you to look to the sky & see an awesome dude riding his dragon.

Sorry buddy. You can spin it however you like. Truth of the matter is dragons at this time were busy licking their wounds and staying away from the humanoid races because of the dragon wars. That is the reality of the time ESO is set in. Look, I know you want dragons to fly, I agree, being able to fly a dragon would be EPIC, but just because doing that would be epic and fun, does not mean it should be. Not saying players should not be able to fly some kind of mount [like some big bird maybe] or fly via levitation, but Dragons are NOT a possibility. [in the main world of ESO, whatever happens in some daedric princes domain stays in a daedric princes domain] Its not a lore thing at all really. They just are not a factor in the time this game is set in.

Getting off topic here but Aion was a fun game. It was the grinding that killed it for me. That's why I'm avoiding ArcheAge. Korean MMOs tend to involve lots of grinding.

On topic: I think we will have new mount types. I can certainly see Guar mounts in the future. But we'll never have dragon mounts. Ever.

RIFT also made promises they couldn't deliver... I've been waiting for 10+ years for an MMO where actions have real consequences in the world for all the players, where players come together to try to achieve things and whether they fail or succeed, the world is impacted and modified by it permanently. RIFT's approach was more disappointing than anything else IMO since it failed to deliver on what was suposed to be a "revolution" in the MMO genre.

What promise did they fail on? They did revolutionize the MMO genre. The Rifts that randomly spawn through the world and attack and march on the NPCs and eventually take over the map if not checked. Random world events like fighting that huge dude that spawns from the mountain and opens a whole new section of questing and dailies. Very tough raids and content IMO, hell Akylios was mathematically unkillable for the first month that guilds were trying to down him and then I think it was another two months before the world first happened. RIFT before it went F2P was a game changer PvE wise....PvP I would agree it was just more of the same but on a larger scale. They tried to do some creative stuff with PvP rifts but it just didn't work well.

Bah, that game, what a disappointment that turned out to be. Dated graphics, a clunky unwieldy combat system which did not really feel legit, and a world that never delivered on the hype fan bois heaped on it.
