Can't find lower level ingrediants anymore?

true you could buy the primary mats, but noone keeps the primary mats because they aren't rare... everyone keeps things like potatoes, salt and pepper lol. so either way people are screwed.

UPDATE: My Veteran Sorc was able to find some level 1 provisioning ingredients (corn mash, meal, etc.) when I checked Daggerfall yesterday. There were some high level ingredients (e.g. crystal berry) mixed in.

So, this is a good start on fixing part of the issue. However, my looting was extremely limited to just Daggerfall ...

This has been the case for some time. Low-level base ingredients (such as the corn mash and meal) have been dropping, but the main ingredients (like horker meat, moon sugar, or ash millet and such that are Alliance-specific) no longer do for vets.

This seems very unlikely to be amended however, now that they randomly want to scrap the entire provisioning system and start over, in some unknown future update.

yea, I had to enlist the aid of my bank alt who I would have rather not been using to level with so that I can get my mains provisioning up.

I didn't start provisioning till VR5 or so. I just zone chatted in Daggerfall, my starting place for mats for my low level ingredients, made the highest level stuff till I ran out, hit the same guy up 3 or 4 more times as I leveled up to new recipes before I finally got to level 50, took me less than 30 minutes doing it this way but cost me about 10-15k. Got lucky this dude had so much stuff on hand, and I did all my cooking at the bank in Daggerfall, so he just hung out there and kept going back and forth to the banker. There are some stuff you can and should buy at a grocer, and pretty sure what ever zone you are in, is dependent on the level mats.

But really, never found I needed any food pre-vet. I don't really plan on making food for my alts, till about level 40ish maybe.

I use my main VR12 to craft food/beverages for my lower level alts and guild mates so this is getting very frustrating as I cannot find the materials I need to make these items. Hope it gets resolved soon - I know they are revamping the whole the whole system sometime in the future but I'd like to be able to craft these items sooner rather than later :)

I figured this was going to be an issue and created all 8 character slots for a level 10, 20, 30 characters to collect provisioning. The rest are bank alts. Without doing this I knew I would most likely miss out on those level recipes and materials. Now I get all level foods and any recipes I may have missed leveling my main.

And, this is exactly what the problem is. Leveling characters to collect materials and missed recipes.

I'm having a major issue with finding Suet for these 2 recipes -
Consummate Mountain Jerky and Enriched Crawdad Stir-Fry
And Flank Steak for the second recipe is no longer in the game either. I have been looking for months for these 2 ingredients and they are simply gone.

I know what zone the Suet was found before but it's no longer there and my hireling, which is maxed, doesn't bring me it either. This is unacceptable. If you are going to have a crafting recipe in the game you MUST have the ingredients for it or change the recipe so it doesn't require the one you took out.

My concern can be measured in micro-give-a-craps.

I'd really like to find an answer from ZOS on this issue somewhere. I'm in the same boat and it's a very weird problem.

This is sad, I took a long break from the game, now that I'm back, I'm vt9 atm I left my provisioning at level 13, I created another char to get the ingredients, so I sent them to my main char.

But when I see the exp I get from every cook, I just couldn't believe it, since it took me more than 80 cooks to get from 13 to 14. This is so wrong in many ways because how the *** do you want me to get level 20 so that I can use my other recipes that I already learned so that I can get more exp.

I truly hope this is not going to stay like this...

It's annoying that my VR toons cannot find food ingredients for level 20 and 30 dishes anymore.

The ingredients should match the level range of the zone and not of the one looting that stuff.

Weird enough, this still works all fine when I go back to the first lowbie area in pact (around Davon's Watch) and loot the Covenant boxes at the beach, I get weirdly enough level 1 and 5 food stuff...

    Edit:
I also found a blue horker recipe in Shadowfen with my level 32 sorc... which is actually a Daggerfall Covenant recipe. Not to mention the fact that you cannot find any horker meat on Pact ground...

But I have never really seen any blue chaurus recipe, which is actually the level 30 food recipe for the Pact people... I only found the green ones.

This is a Really old thread (OP was in July, 2014).

On topic: The Provisioning revamp will be included in patch 1.6.xx, which is scheduled to be released on to the PTS in early January, 2015.
I would expect 1.6.xx to hit live in early February, 2015.
All of the material woes, and many others connected to Provisioning *should* be fixed at that time.

    Hope this helps,

Have those who are getting pots from you havest the mats, as THEY WILL BE the right level.

AAAAaaand.. IMA moron. That post was from August.. Its why I HATE necroing threads. BTW, I find a lot of low level ingredients in the VR noob zones.

Power level to CP160 in a week:
Where is the end game? You just played it.
Why don't I have 300+ skill points? Because you skipped content along the way.
    Where is new content? Sigh.
