Is anyone having fun?

Lot of boo hoo on the forums. Lot of waa waa waa. Is anyone besides me having fun?

I've played MMOs for a good 10 years. Seen all this many times before. Seen buffs and nerfs. Never once have I changed classes or specs. Good or bad, somehow, I still manage to survive encounters. To tank raids. To...have fun.

Providing constructive information on some disparity in-game is all well in good, but coming on here crying that ZOE loves mages and hates tanks is not useful.

Just sounds like a lot of people not having any fun. Might I suggest a game of Cribbage instead?

Oh, but then... the cards are two stiff to shuffle.

It certainly looks good. I love the evenings with the sun setting. Or the early mornings. Cities at night with the flickering torch lights are awesome. Overall been good beating up monsters and taking their stuff. Only encountered one or two that made me go 'ouch' when I expected to hand them their heads.

Like some villains on this beach. Standing around in trios. All level 8. Me at the time at level 10. Ran up, slaughtered all three. Next three. Oh, look... a lone level 8 sorceress (mini boss). Ran up and got my butt whipped.

What I learned is that level isn't everything! LOL

I have a lot of fun in the game. Is the game perfect? No. Can it be improved? Yes. Just a few things need to be changed.

However I play almost every night, I am still doing PvE and have not gotten to a VR yet on any of my characters. I still have not rolled a Templar yet.
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

I'm having a lot of fun. The game is always evolving, and you don't need to wait for an expac for that to happen. It gets progressively bigger and better all on it's own.

I'm having loads of fun! :D Recently I acquired a hefty profit of 170k ;) My cash pile has increased 1700%! Other than that, I'm loving most aspects of the game, I just hit V4 and I'm in Eastmarch, and it's beautiful! They really managed to put the Skyrim I love into this game :)

It's those that are able to adjust to the nerfs/buff will continue to enjoy the game and become stronger.

And It's those who are un-creative and follow popular builds to do good will have the hardest time.

I don't understand people to be 100% honest, Zenimax Allowed players to do almost any kind of build they wish. Then people find either builds that can exploit something or builds that are very effective which creates a massive group of people to copy and paste that build. Then when nerf day comes around (and I say this all the time EVERY BUILD/ABILITY WILL EVENTUALLY GET NERFED OR BUFFED). The reason why everyone is complaining is because they can't make their own build and shape it around the changes, they need to copy someone else and until someone gets a good build they will stop complaining.

Yea, I play a lot right now, probably slow down when the new tv season starts.

Only one character, at 10. No technical issues. The only time things went to crap is when I hit the windows key instead of cntrl and activated some windows hot key that killed my keyboard. So, not really ZOE issue.

I have lots of fun too. I wish I could play in my office but I can't so I hit the forum on breaks to see if there are any interesting discussions or if there's something going on I might want to know about.

I do wonder sometimes why people who aren't having any fun stick around. I think some of them are trying in their own way to make things better. But others, the best I can tell, just want attention. Lots of it. It's kinda sad really.

And those people will never be happy as a game like this is ever evolving. They'll finally get their 'perfect' build, and things will change and thus the crying starts over again. LOL

Guess that's a challenge to changing player perspective. In older days (solo games) you can create the character you want and no worries about anything changing. That's the nature of static games. MMO's are another beast altogether. As long as it survives in the market, it will grow and evolve.

I remember in Wow I was exploring the coastline around Stranglethorn Vale. Was swimming around the cliffs and found a cut I could jump onto. Went farther up into it into what I thought was a cave. Turns out...it was a hole in the world. I was perpetually falling in a vast void. LOL.

The popular builds are dress/stick, they aren't here whining. The "creative" ones are the ones left in the dust, heaven forbid you run trials holding a 2 handed axe.

I fell off a cliff into the water in Coldharbour last night and got eaten by piranhas. It was glorious! Except for the dying part. But I got an achievement for it!

It's the little things that make the game worth playing long term.

I would say it is at least as useful as a "Hey guys guess what, I'm havin' fun!" thread.

But glad to hear it, brah. ;)

Actually, it is those who chase the popular builds that are complaining the whole time, about every little thing. They're the "min-maxers", while those who stick to their original plans and take their own pace through the game are quietly enjoying themselves.

My plan has always been to play every class, and believe me when I say I have no intention of playing a dress/stick templar, dress/stick dragonknight, and dress/stick nightblade! Am I complaining that my characters aren't as over-powered as my dress/stick sorcerer? Absolutely not! Then again, I don't PvP and that's always a good breeding ground for whining by those who can't compete - for whatever reason. I'm just having fun, and it's a shame more aren't allowing themselves to do so.

Did you at least yell out, 'I can see my house from here!'

It is pretty mandatory when falling off any high structure. But you may get a pass this time since you may have had a mouth full of sammich.
