After months of investing money into a company that doesn't care about its customer base, I decided I'd rather get my teeth pulled than listen to another vague non-answer from customer service.

Played the beta -- which was fun -- and reported every bug I found. Pre-ordered and got Imperial, then the Palomino horse, and have been a subscribing player since the beginning.

A lot of the bugs weren't fixed by game release, lots of quests were still broken, several items and trophies either weren't dropped or were removed because they were broken -- and still, I've stuck by.

I've stuck through the broken guilds, broken fishing, broken quests, skill point wipes, bank wipes, "random" account bans, all of it.

Then the Steam debacle, where the game was released for 40-50% off the normal price and gave the NEW players an exclusive Wolfhound. I was irate, but still playing.

Then the dyes system came out, and we were all told before the release by Gina that dye achievements would be retroactive, so I started grinding through existing achievements. Upon release, I found SEVEN dyes that I had beyond achieved but was not credited. I contacted Customer Support with a carefully itemized list of broken achievements and got the very vague "typical" response that said "this is a known issue" (then why did you release the update??) and "we will be working to patch it very soon! In the meantime, you can still adventure and do other things..."

I said then I would rather have my teeth pulled than put up with more run-around and poor treatment from Zenimax.

So I did.

I went and had my teeth pulled this morning. And maintenance is still going on, as of this writing. Honestly, I think having four of my teeth ripped out was far, far more enjoyable than dealing with the customer service here. tumblr_n9w5vzWhiF1qjzl00o1_1280.jpg

    You'd think that maturity comes with a beard...

    Customer service has been nothing but responsive the handful of times that I've had to contact them. Just because they can't give you a specific answer to a question that you probably knew didn't have a specific answer doesn't mean they're ineffective or not doing their jobs. Also, "we're going to deal with it in the near future," is a pretty specific answer as far as things go. They let you know that they know it's an issue, and that they're dealing with it. They aren't the developers, so they can't predict (or make promises) about when a patch goes live. Expecting them to do otherwise is just flat-out ridiculous.

    LMAO-That's funny as hell. Now, all joking aside. I started a discussion in zone yesterday, and was very surprised at the responses I received. I asked if anyone thought that it was appropriate at this point for ZoS to react to the issues their customers have been having by offering some sort of compensation. By compensation I mean a cosmetic pet, extra experience, etc. The answer was a resounding NO. I was called a whiner, a carebear, a baby, etc. I was told to quit the game. I was asked if I was a F2P guy. I was quite surprised. I love the game when it is functioning properly, I love the ES lore. I plan on subbing until the game ends. I do, however, feel that as a paying customer, it is time for the company to somehow acknowledge there have been a few issues and thank their base. It hasn't happened, and I figured out why yesterday. I assume that the majority of the player base is happy the way things have been going the last several months. I want to point out that this is not a flame towards ZoS; companies that provide any service or product run in to all kinds of issues-its how they respond to their loyal customers that defines their success. It would appear that for whatever reason, the mmo community has somewhat lower standards, or a wealth of patience.

    Dyes get put into the game, but are not working perfectly.

    They will be fixed over time... as all things are with an MMORPG. You will eventually have the dyes for the achievements you completed.

    If i were your dentist, I'd have thrown that damn phone out of the office. Why do people think its appropriate to selfie and blog EVERYWHERE.

    I hate this "smartphone" culture thats swallowed up people in the past decade.

    I do too, and if its true then its also the most sickening thing in the history of this forum to ever be posted.

    But his mouth doesn't look gauzed up, or bloody and he doesn't have glazed eyes like he was given drugs, and there is no reason to believe the "tooth" is real, it could just be made of polypropylene.

    If you continue to play MMOs, and hold them in similar standards, you're going to be running out of teeth. The horrific things I had to endure with NCSoft years back with AION put anything I've heard from people dealing with ZOS to shame (EX: canceled my sub on AION three months after it launched yet they retained my information and continued to bill me yet I was not able to log into the game like you'd expect canceling a subscription works...and customer support tickets frequently just went unanswered even before I had that problem...)

    So, yeah it's bad. Indefensibly bad. Borderline negligent direction, production, and development. But I'd have to say it could be worse. You could be dealing with NCSoft.

    But seriously, in all honesty, pleasure from pain? If you're trying to send ZeniMax that message, I have no reason to doubt that they will shut down this thread faster than you can say "Grilled cheese on rye, hold the tomato".

    It's an extremely rare legendary achievement. You get it for getting manicures with Molag Bal.
