After months of investing money into a company that doesn't care about its customer base,
I decided I'd rather get my teeth pulled than listen to another vague non-answer from customer service.
Played the beta -- which was fun -- and reported every bug I found. Pre-ordered and got Imperial, then the Palomino horse, and have been a subscribing player since the beginning.
A lot of the bugs weren't fixed by game release, lots of quests were still broken, several items and trophies either weren't dropped or were removed because they were broken -- and still, I've stuck by.
I've stuck through the broken guilds, broken fishing, broken quests, skill point wipes, bank wipes, "random" account bans, all of it.
Then the Steam debacle, where the game was released for 40-50% off the normal price and gave the NEW players an exclusive Wolfhound. I was irate, but still playing.
Then the dyes system came out, and we were all told before the release by Gina that dye achievements would be retroactive, so I started grinding through existing achievements. Upon release, I found SEVEN dyes that I had beyond achieved but was not credited. I contacted Customer Support with a carefully itemized list of broken achievements and got the very vague "typical" response that said "this is a known issue" (then why did you release the update??) and "we will be working to patch it very soon! In the meantime, you can still adventure and do other things..."
I said then I would rather have my teeth pulled than put up with more run-around and poor treatment from Zenimax.So I did.
I went and had my teeth pulled this morning. And maintenance is still going on, as of this writing. Honestly, I think having four of my teeth ripped out was far, far more enjoyable than dealing with the customer service here.
