Anyone else think that they should include shields and weapons into the dye system?
Makes me look funny running around with white and brass armor while my shield is still blue. I'm betting this is just and oversight though.

Esha76✭✭✭✭✭My sorc in all black armor/cloth with red trim looks rather odd with that off-dark-grey color daedric shield... Shield is just such a large item that it does kinda cause a mis-match. probably it is an issue for the first person view also (just an idea, not said from any dev)1 -

Sabin1269✭✭✭Couldn't agree more with the OP. Would love to see shields and weapons be included in the dye system. I went black with metallic green accents on my heavy armor which I love but my matte grey shield And brass colored sword are really taking away from the whole look.0 -

I don't think the metal needs to be dyed per se just things like the hilt. Traditionally shields were painted and often had the family crest or coat of arms on it. Since shields are considered armor they at least ought to be included.:trollin:3 -

DaniAngione✭✭✭✭✭Guild heraldry should be a customization option for shields as well (not only the tabard). So you could choose between painting it normally (as we paint armor) or painting your guild's primary color + crest on your shield!7 -

I think nothing would make us happier, than our custom colored weapons.
If shields could be painted, why not the weapons also ?

Almariel✭✭✭First, I love the new dye System, and I am very happy with it.
Another solution for the shields could be to determine the dye of the shield by the dye of the chest armor as the chance now is just too big that it does no longer fit your characters armor.
But just being able to dye everything would be even better. If someone wants a "pink sword", let him be, he can have a pink armor even now anyways. @Sevryiel - daheim auf dem PC-EU Server1 -
Night_Watch✭✭✭Though I think dying shields (and weapons) could bring some truly garish results, I cannot see how that would be any worse than some of the current 'outfit' dye results.
For me, allowing dye on shields is probably the best way to go. I do not have any guild membership except fighters / mages but it would make sense to me if players where also allowed to use their guild emblem on a shield.
I would not mind weapon dye options either but would ask that such is restricted to dyes that are in keeping to real weapons rather than neon pink or such (I do not mind brightly coloured weapon effects though).
As for not wanting brighter colours on shields, a simple web search for 'traditional shield designs' and then looking at 'images' results is your friend (or enemy depends on your opinion) on this matter!

Dovel✭✭✭It is a huge oversight for this Dye system. I have awesome looking armor, colored to match and then this dull pink shield with a red gem in it I can't dye.3
