PLEASE make the mail notification for guild store sales more detailed.

Getting a mail saying "one" of your items was sold X hours ago for X amount is just not enough info. And shifting through the sales logs from every one of your trading guilds that only go back 24 hrs or so in order to find more details is a nightmare.

Please include these details in the notification mail. (this is standard available info for most auction houses):

1. Who bought your item. Seeing who is interested in certain items allows you to possibly develop a personal trading agreement for the future.

2. Exactly which item sold. When you expect us to use up to 5 trading guilds with 30 listing per store, that is 150 different listings we are trying to manage. Knowing what sells and what does not sell goes a long ways towards understanding the market better and therefore not wasting listing slots on items that don't sell.

3. Which guild the transaction was made in. It's nice to know which guilds are more active and where certain items may or may not sell better.

The amount an item sold for is already included, but is very important and should also be included in any new notifications.

So the new mail notification would say something like this:

"Mary longstockings has purchased your Tempering Alloy from Barny Rubble Trading Co" for 2000 gold."

I'm no programmer, but it doesn't seem like this would be that hard to do and would go a very long ways towards making the guild store more user friendly.

That's if you are lucky enough to be able to find it.

You can see who purchased from who in the guild history any way, this would just be something to tell the person if they were not online at the time of sale to check manually.

Also fully agree with OP, I hate not knowing what I sold and just getting money, my memory isn't that good when I have three guilds and 30 items listed in each. :P

@Logan9a I don't believe so, you just go to the last tab (History) and there is a section called Sales which lists all sales up to a point. I think it's the last x amount of sales but too lazy to count.

There are also some add-ons which gives you better information and listings.

That is nice. And I suppose I'll have to grab it. But I have to admit that I am getting a little fatigued by constantly having to resort to addons for features that are pretty standard elsewhere.

I am up to about 10 addons now and it's becoming a major inconvenience having to refresh/replace/deal with outdated addons after every patch. I mean I get it. I understand the bare bones UI concept. But most of the addons I use are behind the scenes info that doesn't clutter the UI and should be included. Just like this one.

But as has already pointed out, you can see the history of sales in the guild tab.

The information may not come from a source we have come to expect, but it is there. And a darn sight more useful than seeing just your own sales, as you can see all sales. (For the really dense - present company excluded, of course - that means you see what the most popular purchases are).

Luminary did that, too. All sales, and your sales. But it was able to show the history for more than 24 hours, which is nice if you want to see what buying trends are.

Or if you haven't been able to log in every 24 hours. Sometimes the log only goes back a few hours if that particular guild store has a lot of transactions. Because as mentioned above, the log only keeps a certain amount of transactions regardless of time frames. I've seen it as short as 6 hours.

I agree, this should be a standard game function - especially before console release, because these players won't have access to essential add-ons. But we have to make do with what we've got. *shrugs*

Player notification seems to be a concept these developers didn't get the memo on. It has caused problems since many of the first players, unfamiliar with the item/mail system in this game deleted their bonus items, and continues to be an issue. They seem to believe that what they know from being developers is magically known by the players. Or they just don't care. Choose.

I honestly think it's more along the lines of a company being new to MMOs making rookie mistakes. On the positive side though, they seem to be more than willing to take feedback very seriously and act upon it. So the more attention we give this and similar threads will increase the odds of the right person seeing it and taking changes into consideration.

Does it really matter? The important info is, 'what are people buying' (and to highlight OP's point one: who is buying what) and the store history lets you see that, whether it was your sale or not.

Seriously, this information is far more valuable than an email that tells you about a single item you sold. So too is the info that tells you your listing has been up for 15 days and hasn't sold. Do you leave it there taking up a space for another 15 days, or do you have a look at store history to see what is selling and swap it out for something more popular?

You are the only person on this thread so far that doesn't want to see it changed.

It matters for several different reasons that have all been previously mentioned.

But the most important reason is this: If I log in, get a mail saying that some random item sold for 2000g, I want to be able to see what that item was w/o having to check up to 150 listings to try and figure out which item is now missing. That is a major pain in the arse. And if I was unable to log in for the last 6-24 hours, chances are that I won't even be able to find that info on the log anymore.

And before you say "get the addon", another point that has been made is that these features are standard in any MMO worth a grain of salt and should not require an addon that has to be updated every patch or causes our game to run like crap because we are forced to use an outdated version of the addon for 2 weeks after each patch in some cases even longer.

It is a simple feature that should be included.
