Is there any signs of the unknown error problem being sorted out yet.

    Did you already try to follow this article :
    What should I do when I receive the following error message "An unknown error has occurred”

    Also, could you please , if you did not already, try to attempt a login from a second system ?

    the article is bogus as well as all other tips... the problem started when u started the server move, why should it be the problem of the clients?
    and why can the same people having problems on EU-Server play on PTR and american Server? stop wasting the time of ur customers and fix it!

    Absolutely right. Stop trying to deflect the issue ZOS, this began the moment you migrated the servers, it is YOUR issue, stop trying to put it on us.

    No it isn't. You really think that doing data transfer from one datacenter that has been doing pretty good to another datacenter that has not been used by thousands of people yet is gonna go off without a hitch.

    Remember the 2 megaservers (NA and (EU-NA side)) were tested over and over to the breaking point during beta. This new datacenter has not had that type of testing.

    iam with you its the datacenter fault or at least some parts of the Connection to it but not the Customers fault so repair will fix nothing and is a meaningless suggestion at least in the current situation there are so many ppl hit by this issue all over europe and other countrys so it seems its not a single ISP fault because not all ppl in diffrent countrys use the same ISP .

    and i can only speak for me i have no problems playing on the US server and PTS only on EU server i get booted after 5-10 seconds ingame and only after the Transfer so it must be the new Datacenter or parts of some connections to it who we as customers have no influence at all to change something.

    so we are back to start suggesting repair the client is meaningless right now.

    it is ok for me that problems occur... i know the expression "never touch a running system" and keep to it as often as possible...
    unfortuantely sometimes thats not possible..

    and if u run into problems after doing a change, u start blaming the components u "touched" not the untouched ones.. simple logic...

    Seems i found least away to play (for now), when changed from Display mode Fulscreen (had it when have best frames) to Windowed Fullscreen. Now lover frames but have now played some hours with out error? I let you now if get error later on.

    Seems i found least away to play (for now), when changed from Display mode Fulscreen (had it when have best frames) to Windowed Fullscreen. Now lover frames but have now played some hours with out error? I let you now if get error later on.

    That does absolutely nothing for me - still can't play. :(

    Shame.. i have now played about 4-5 h with out no errors. Once game freeze short time and was waiting if get error but game continued to work. Before i get error least once/hour. Only problem is now in windowed fullscreen when frames drop too low time to time on PVP.

    Still no solution for "unknown error"... I get now the message "An error has occured. Try to log in a few minutes later!". Nice job... "Unknown error" no more, now i get that crap error message. Had no trouble to play when this game was beta, and now i cant play a single minute (10 sec is max.) before the game crashes to login screen. Costumer support resolutions aint working for me at all. Just bought the game to try it out after beta testing, and i cant play. 30 days of pre-paid gametime is ticking. Cancelled subscription plan also. Wont pay for a game i cant play. Guess i wont get back my lost gametime... :\

    Send in another Support Ticket, if you don't already have one open to them, requesting that they refund you for your lost Game Time when your issues with the Unknown Error are fixed by them and be sure to explain that you can't play the game at all in its current state for more than a few seconds before the game DCs you.

    ^ That's for anyone else experiencing this issue to that extent as well. You are entitled to that lost gane time you paid for, whether it's the free month given purchasing the game, or your own paid subscription.

    I'm sorry that you have to go through all of this when you've just started playing the game, and I hope your issue can get fixed soon! :(

    Our raid leader has constantly the error message "An unknown error has occurred", either when loading his character in Cyrodiil (from the character selection page), or a few seconds after he managed to load his character in Cyrodiil.

    We are on the European Server, Haderus campaign.

    A couple of days after the European migration, and as long as the guild functionality was disabled, he could load his character without much problem. As soon as the guild issue was fixed and the guild functionality was turned on, he immediately had the same problem again.

    So he tried to quit all his guilds, but to no avail: an unknown error has occurred when loading his character in Cyrodiil.

    He has also noticed that when the campaign is heavily loaded, it's almost impossible for him to load his character. When the campaign is almost empty, for instance in the morning, he can load his character without much problem.

    He has a good internet connection as far as I know. He does not have any problem with any of the other games he is playing.

    He has submitted a lot of tickets, almost every week, and tried all the solutions he was proposed by mail. But none of them could solve his issue.

    He is about to cancel his account. Any help will be much appreciated.

    It's getting crazy... every 10 minutes I crash with an "unknown error"... More and more I wonder why the hell I still try.

    I have been getting this all weekend - never had it before. I've repaired twice, but it keeps coming back. The last time, I was just standing in the bank at the cooking fire looking at recipes, when I got the error. I relogged after a few minutes, selected the same character. I found myself falling through nothing, then suddenly was back at a wayshrine. And then it happened again a little while later, after a period of horrific lag (fps was down to 4.7 at one point). Just rebooted my whole computer and did another repair. We'll see if that helps.

    ETA: Sigh. Got dropped out of the Dye Station UI with no error, then couldn't interact with anything any more. Tried to log out the character and got an infinite loading screen to the point I had to force quit the application. Something is seriously different lately.
