Healer NPCs

Seriously several have mentioned it but it obviously needs repeating. Healing NPC's in ESO are there to teach you HOW TO INTERRUPT. One poster above has it right, nuke the Healer first (it's very easy) or if there are 2, nuke/CC one then nuke the other, rinse/repeat. Healing bosses are even easier to deal with because most just stand there trying to heal themselves while you keep interrupting them and nuking them down. All they while they do almost no damage to you. You can beat a VR healer NPC with ~100 DPS, they're that easy when you learn to interrupt.

The issue is too many want to button mash their way to the glorious I WIN button. ESO actually forces you to pay attention to fight mechanics, something that is sadly lacking in most MMO's today. Unfortunately there are soo many bads playing MMO's today that when a company like ZoS re-introduces actual fight mechanics a ton of people cry for nerfs because it's "too hard".

I have not gotten to it yet but a friend mentioned a 6000 health archer boss in Reapers March who has his own 9000 health healer boss in tow. How do people approach that? I can't nuke something with that much health. If I concentrate on healer, the archer will tear me to shreds. If I concentrate on archer, healer will just zip him back up to health. I am sure there must be a tactic, though...

You just swap one of your skills with a Disorient, use it on the healer, kill the Archer during the time the healer can't move anymore and start a 1vs1 fight against the healer when the Disorient wears off.

But a 9000 health healer sounds like a boss. Won't a boss be immune to disorient? You can still interrupt, but in the fraction of a second it takes to see the the red lines appear again, and you to interrupt, she'll have healed the archer from 1000 health back to 6000!

Trash mob healers are not bad at all. I hit the toughest non-healer mob with Dark Flare (burst damage to target, 40% reduced healing to all mobs in area), then aim Blazing Spear from range to stun/damage the healer while using other abilities to take down the attackers who are now in my face. Rinse, repeat, battle over in a few seconds.

But a boss healer who is immune to CC? Sounds very challenging. You are going to have to break off from the archer boss a lot to interrupt and your timing is going to have to be impeccable because you can't preemptively interrupt like you can preemptively CC. You have to wait for the healing to start before interrupting and if you let them get off a fraction of a second of healing it can send you right back to square 1.

If its an open world boss, it won't be immune to crowd controls. Actualy, a lot of them are vulnerable to crowd control unless they are from a specific category like Storm Atronauch, Gargoyles, etc wich are immune to all CCs.

Group Dongeons bosses are all immune to crowd controls but you usualy beat those with 3 other players in your team.

Quite often these healer npcs in later zones appear in two's with some 2hander guy that spams uppercut. I remember in VR Rift this seemed to happen a lot. Infuriating to fight!

I was testing these healers once in vr 1 zone before nerf and it is strange if Strom Atronarch could not take one healer by himself. They are way too OP. Yes you can take them down but it is simply not fun.I'm just laughing out loud (because trash mob fight is that stupid with them) when i fight with them.

Had a hell of a time with a healer coupled with a delve boss a few nights ago. The healer only had 3k HP but by the time I used my stealth attack and execute, the first thing the healer did was heal back to full...over and over again. No amount of burst damage I did could bring it down fast enough. With the boss also beating on me, I just didnt have the damage to do it. I got lucky and someone else showed up and it was easy then but solo....and as a NB.....yeah.....

U have to learn only one thing, how to break from bursting for a damn second to interrupt. I can't believe this thread . I never had a problem with healers. The only one with some trouble was in vet 5 boss healer, I'm usually more range but he forced me to adapt and stand in front of him interrupting his heals, after adapting it was almost pathetically easy.
