That's probably been good for the DNA genome with strong diversity and certainly advantage with armor fitting all races and sizes--great technology ability to do this.
Was it one of the Baldur's Gate games that had levitate in it if ES never has? One of them did and it was fun to use at times levitating up to some inaccessible ledge to find a chest. As an adventurer and action genre I just love in-game climbing challenges--more so then fighting challenges. This thought has brought back a lot of old game memories.

Morrowind had levitation and you were even able to make eg enchanted ring for constant levitation so you could fly everywhere.
