Need / Want More Skill Bars !

I really think Zenimax should consider giving us more skill bars. Now I'm not talking like WoW where your screen was pretty much full of additional bars (although I'm sure some people would appreciate that). No... I'm mean additional 'weapon swap' bars.

From my point of view -
I have 4 builds/set-ups and It would be nice (and certainly easier) if I could have a bar for each.
I have Solo PvE build, Group DPS build, Group Heal build and a PvP build. And to be honest its a pain in the nuts having constantly redesign my skill-basr each time I want to do something different !

As soon as a player reaches the required level for weapon swapping it would be just as easy to add even more bars. You could simply toggle/scroll through the different bars adding your skills as you need depending on that particular build.
(Secondary weapons 'could' be placed in a slot adjacent to each skill-bar depending what skills matched each weapon)

So come on Zeni... more skill bars plz !

:/

PS.. There is also Spellcrafting to consider. I think a lot of people will want extra bars once we have possibly hundreds of different builds at our disposal !

I personally like it the way that it is.

Best thing they could do imo is have templates for gear and loadouts. Maybe three sets of gear that didn't clog your inventory. There are addons that sort of do this but they are buggy.

More quality of life stuff to help make the system work would be nice

I think you can use out of combat add-on to accomplish this, no? You would just be limited to only two swappable ones in combat.

I agree, but there should be less skills on each bar. At the moment it's a bit "messy", I sometimes press 4 instead of 5 etc. It's quite demanding at the moment.

I disagree. There shouldn't be more skill bars.

However, I highly recommend you the Wykkyd's Outfitter addon for quick skill bar changes -it allows you to create and save your skill bars-.

I don't think you're really talking about active skill bars, are you? It sounds like you're talking about gear loadouts, which I would agree with adding. As noted above, Wykkd's Outfitter adds this functionality.

If you're talking about have up to 4 sets that you could access like a weapon swap during combat than I don't agree.

The option to have multiple gear loadouts I'd love to see in game. Especially as I have so many builds, depending on what I'm doing.

Personally I do think gear loadouts and weapon swaps / active skill-bars should be connected, but that's just my opinion. Carrying 3 sets of gear around all the time kinda screws with the already limited bag space !

Not during combat no. Although I'm an advocate of gear-loadout swapping I don't think that should be allowed in combat (only out of combat)
So maybe have a skill-bar attached to each gear loadout?

    No.

A full on Grumpy Cat NO.

The only thing I could reasonably see would be Wildstar-esque hotbar load-outs that allow you to switch out an entire bar while out of combat. You know, a set up bar for Bosses, one for groups, one for Daedra... instead of opening the skills page and swapping out one or two skills here and there.

Other than that, a resounding NO.

Laehl Direthorn - Bosmer Nightblade, Purveyor of fine Clothes, Bows and Staves
Reeza gra-Zuni - Orc Templar 'War Shaman' and Apothecary
Noemi Snowpaw - Kajiit Dragon Knight - I laugh... or I'd have to kill you.
Kitera Dreamon - Breton of The Dominion: Because those Daggers don't appreciate a great Mage.
Lysara Shadowcroft - Dunmer Bloodmage: This will only hurt a lot.

Would not mind an enhanced skill bar maybe being able to host 8 skills or something, but one can dream, still switching bars as it is now is kind working as intended, if they could just remove the 'lag' from it like in clicking a couple of skills and no matter what you do when you click for the second bar, instant switch.

Ok heres the issue with this game.

I don't need a combat macro to play.

I love this issue so very much....

Yeah its slower to not have all my skills on my toolbar to get xp all the time...

Yeah combat might be a bit more...dynamic...if I had the tools for every situation I could possibly be in at my fingertips...

In the end..the current system allows for more focus on gameplay, less on cooldown management....and I don't need to set up a damn macro so that I don't develop arthritis lol...

Threads like this, and the people begging for global ah...and similar threads...makes me sad...why is it the mmorpg community always want to take what is somewhat unique and conform conform conform with it all? Can we not tamper with systems that are not commonplace in other mmorpgs for once?

Yep... You've confused many people with the thread title asking for more skill bars instead of asking for loadouts. I think that you'd get many more people agreeing if you were clear that you were asking for out-of-combat gear loadouts.

Being able to swamp entire gear sets and skills out of combat would be a huge help to those of us that perform many different roles. I have gear sets for solo PvE, group PvE, trials, solo PvP, and group PvP. It gets difficult to keep track of everything and I've even accidentally deconstructed armor that I've had stored in my bank.

However, the ability you are asking for is already available with simply loading one of the 3rd party addons. You would likely change your toon if you tried a handful of the widely used/download. The community highly supports these 3rd party addons and the addon developer are very responsive to feeback and requests.

But again, exactly what you are asking for has been available since beta through 3rd party addons using the primary developer's API.

I'm not opposed to adding more skill bars. If it would allow me to have more weapons equipped and ready (as I am nearing the upper VR ranks, and find myself picking up new weapons and roles to have something new to do), I could be for it.

But I rely on Alpha Tools to do more than any mechanic ZOS could implement with more bars. Sixteen possible skill bars on save, which I setup for various small tasks (sometimes only switching out a single skill, like putting in silver bolts against daedra, etc).

Ruze Aulus. Mayor of Dhalmora. Archer, hunter, assassin. Nightblade.
Gral. Mountain Terror. Barbarian, marauder, murderer. Nightblade.
Na'Djin. Knight-Blade. Knight, vanguard, defender. Nightblade.

    XBOX NA
Ruze is a veteran of the PC Beta, lived through the year one drought, survived the buy-to-play conversion, and has stepped foot in the hells known as Craglorn. He mained a nightlbade when nightblades weren't good, and has never worn a robe. He converted from PC during the console betas, and hasn't regretted it a moment since.

He'd rank ESO:TU (in it's current state) a 4.8 out of 5, loving the game almost entirely.

This is an multiplayer game. I should be able to log in, join a dungeon, join a battleground, queue for a dolmen or world boss or delve, teleport in, play for 20 minutes, and not worry about getting kicked, failing to join, having perfect voice coms, or being unable to complete content because someone's lagging behind. Group Finder and matchmaking is broken. Take a note from Destiny and build a system that allows from drop-in/drop-out functionality and quick play.

Actually, I would also like the ability to have more than two weapon/skill swap choices.

    * I would like a minimum of four sets of weapon/skill set loadouts available

    * I would like the option to 'keep your current weapon' or 'use this weapon' with a weapon/skill set.

    * I would like to have the option to 'keep your current armor' or 'use these armor pieces' with a weapon/skill set.

I feel that the whole weapon/skill swap system is just another severely underdeveloped feature in ESO. One that could have been outstanding, but ends up being just so-so.

I would defintely like a choice between more skill slots (even 1 or 2) vs weapon swaping. I want a pure archer class but it seems silly because you only have 5 skills and its silly to do considering you need drains/heals or other skills on that 2nd bar. I don't like switching back and fourth because it doesn't always work right plus it's pointless to get a staff if you want to be a archer and it's pointless to get mele if you wanted to be range but you have to do it just to balance out and be effective. I would like to see more skill slots with the sacrafice of switching weapons.

This would add a unique element and pride for pure class play vs hybrid. would be interesting.

Personally I think the 2× 5+1 skill bar setup is one of the best features in ESO.

Makes you have to think and plan in your selection, and no matter how good you plan, you'll never ever have everything you might want available, meaning combat will be less a skill fireworks, and more concentrating on movement, location, block/dodge/bash and all that, which appeals to me (even there are some issues with it as well)
I never liked the games that add more and more skills to your bar(s) until you had two dozend abilities at your fingertips and combat became more of an "click those buttons/keys in the right order" then anything else...

I'd vote against any more skillbarrings...
