Rain, Rain, Rain, I 'm sick of the blasted rain!

90% of the time I spend in game it's either raining, or it's just night - both lowering my FPS thanks to myriad of particles and shadows on screen. Not to mention it's depressing.

I dont remember much rain on Skyrim, but i do remember a lot of snowstorms.

True, but there is the Clear Skies shout for Skyrim. In Oblivion, your supposed to be able to wait 12 hours and the weather changes, but something in the algorithm was set so that the current weather pattern was preferred for the next one. So, Rain followed rain, followed by more rain in that game.

Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

PakKat "Everything was going well, until I died"
Gary Gravestink "I am glad you died, I needed the help"

    Doesn't relogging change the weather?

From what I have seen not really most of the time. It may be that I re-log and the damn weather randomly goes to rain again though.

If you guys would just stop washing your horses all the time, it would stop raining all the time.

    I don't think so; isn't the weather server-side rather than client-side?

Oh that's interesting; so it could be raining for me but not the guy standing next to me? How about time of the day then?

yeap. exactly. Except for dolmen overcast which is serverside.
As for day/night cycle, afaik it's clientside too.

It is server side and on a sets timer. I think 6h per day.

Another thing I do not like about the weather is that the clouds don't move. They just change to another shape on a timer. I guess maybe Skyrim's dynamic clouds were to resource demanding. :(

What I've always found odd is that when it rains, it rains in the whole world at the same time (except those desert areas). It can be raining in Auridon and I'll travel to Glenumbra, still raining.

Seems fairly realistic to have it rain more often in some parts of the continent than others, such as Glenumbra.

I like rain personally. But if it's not for you, maybe stay home and sip some tea by the fire at the INN until it stops...?
