Eversince I started playing this game [early access] 80% of the time I spend outdoors it rains.
I go to the Dominion, it rains all the time in all regions except khenarthi's roost and auridon.
I go to the Pact, it rains most of the time in all areas except bleakrock and dhalmora.
I go to the Covenant, it rains most of the time except on Stros m'kai and Betnikh.
WHAT THE FARG IS WRONG WITH THIS GAME???
I 'M SICK OF THE DAMN RAIN. IT'S DEPRESSING.

Someone told me long ago there's a calm before the storm
I know, it's been comin' for some time
When it's over, so they say, it'll rain a sunny day
I know, shinin' down like water

I wanna know, have you ever seen the rain?
I wanna know, have you ever seen the rain
Comin' down on a sunny day?

Yesterday and days before, sun is cold and rain is hard
I know, been that way for all my time
'Til forever, on it goes through the circle, fast and slow
    I know, it can't stop, I wonder

I wanna know, have you ever seen the rain?
I wanna know, have you ever seen the rain
Comin' down on a sunny day?

Yeah, I wanna know, have you ever seen the rain?
I wanna know, have you ever seen the rain
Comin' down on a sunny day?

Actually there too. I also did a full reinstall in case any of the script files was damaged or someting but that didnt seem to fix the problem. I think that maybe the weather is being affected by the dolmens. When a dolmen is up the sky changes to heavy overcast. Maybe there's a bug in the game code that gets confused by this weather change to overcast in nearby areas and thus expanding the phenomena to the rest of the map...
To tell the truth, although I haven't played a lot arround Craglorn, I don't remember rain at craglorn but then again I don't remember any dolmens there too.

But seriously, this is frustrating, after doing Dominion (heavy forest and jungle) and Ebonheart (rainforest, bog and snow) walking in desert and having rain for most of the time gets a bit boring, now doesn't it?

Don't know if you re being trollishly sarcastic here but in case you re really trying to be a smart4$$, it has nothing to do with who or what i am.

Yeah, actually i do need sunshine in the videogames where IT'S FRIGGIN SUPPOSED TO BE!
Take for example the Farcry series. All three of them take place in tropical islands or africa. Rain is rare as it's supposed to be.
Now take for example the STALKER series. They all take place in the Chernobyl area where the weather is a bit damp. Most of the time it rains in all three STALKER games, but IT'S FRIGGIN COOL cause it matches the climate.
Take Gothic 3 for example. When you travel to Varant Desert you rarely expect to see rain and you rarely do.
Finally let's taker a few Bethesda examples: Take Fallout new vegas. How often do you see rain in Fallout new vegas? Rarely. That's because it takes place in the friggin Mohave desert where rain is rare. On the other hand take TESV Skyrim. In Skyrim rain is not so rare, and neither blizzards are. That's because the weather acts like it's supposed to.

Now Let's go back to ESO and tell me how fiting would it be to rain most of the time in Reaper's march or malabal tor where those two areas are too close to the planet's equator? Take Alik desert, how fitting xould it be to have continous rain in a *** desert?

So what I'm trying to say here is that obviously there's something wrong with the game's weather. And when you go to an area where it's supposed to be arid [like a desert or a steppe], having bad weather follow you from the rest of the world, yes it's friggin despessing.

i completely disagree as i LOVE the rain and vampire type lightning and a reason to stay indoors cause of the monsters and bad outside and cozy and warm inside playing eso.
i love rain, i love lightning, i love it when it is bad weather both ingame and outside in real life.
i loved it in morrowind when we would have ash storms so bad people had to cover thier eyes and face with thier arms and hands animated.
i love it in eso seeing the ash storms with burning hot ash falling from the sky.
i love rain and rainy like heavy snow storms and alot of lightning.

and to be honest, i dont think the storms are strong enough. there needs to be times when we see Horendious terrible strong wind storms and bad bad bad heavy storms.
i love bad weather and eso should have alot more of it.
and no i am not troling im just being honest and giving my feedback.

Yes the rain is very annoying since it is sometime associated with abrupt FPS drops. It is kind of strange since the rain FPS drops only happen sometimes and I can't quite pinpoint all the factors. It would be really nice to have some weather options, especially since the weather is client based and is not even synched for all players in a group.

I never get any fps drops in desert sand storms and those are awesome.

You seem to have a very wierd experience there. For me rain is a lot less common then what you experience.

Maybe you are just over-reacting to rain, thus making it appear as if it was more common?
We always remmber the 5 times thigns were bad, not the 500 times things were good.

Also I kinda like rain. It's much needed cooling after days of unbearably hot sunshine.

The Rain in this game is nothing like Skyrim or even Oblivion. The weather was supposed to change every 12 hours or so in that game, and it never did. I finally got a weather spell that let me change the weather because it would not quit raining.

In this game, I don't notice the rain that much, I really don't think it rains all that much on my characters.
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.
