I currently have 3 black smithing traits being researched. What happens to them if I respec? Also; what happens to things like Motifs I've learned?

    Apparently the continue being researched.

The only thing I would be wary of is patches and maintenance, It's theoretically possible a patch or the servers being offline for maintanence could reset the research. This has happened in the past, not sure what ZOS's official stance on research being lost after a respecc.

    Nothing happens.

Respecc just removes the skill points, for you to reassign, it doesn't change the traits or motifs learned.

Thanks!. However, what about the traits being researched; do those traits continue being researched? Or rather as I suspect they are no longer being researched.
