Respec Question for Crafting

I currently have 3 black smithing traits being researched. What happens to them if I respec? Also; what happens to things like Motifs I've learned?

✭✭Apparently the continue being researched.
The only thing I would be wary of is patches and maintenance, It's theoretically possible a patch or the servers being offline for maintanence could reset the research. This has happened in the past, not sure what ZOS's official stance on research being lost after a respecc.Edited by AlexDougherty on July 26, 2014 4:28PMPeople believe what they either want to be true or what they are afraid is true!

✭✭Nothing happens.
