Yeah, at the first glance i knew this was some sort of hoax and/or suicide mission as you said, you simply can't go to mars being a random peasant, the FAQ isn't helpful either, they don't want to "contaminate the planet", even though they NEED to produce CO2 in order to heat up Mars and terraform it.

I'm not sure if the leader of the project is one of these random crazy rich Arabian guys.
