To all the thieves of Tamriel...

As we all know, the Justice System is on its way, so I have a question for all of you. Where will you perform your first crime spree?

For myself, I plan on going on a crime spree in the city of Windhelm. Nothing is safe from my hands, and those who stand against me are going to meet a swift and shadowy end.

You're not a very good thief if you announce the location of your target.

I am planning "The great Potato theft of Stormhaven". We'll also grab as much Garlic, Onions, and Caramalt as time allows before the Trevors turn up!

(If anyone has cheese and a pig or two we are looking to host a Tartiflette evening soon after)

Daggerfall Bank - that's what I'll rob first  I just want that annoying chick that has given me too much grief with her endless speech to stop talking and start screaming

Thieving? Why do something so minuscule when I could go around killing people!?!

If there's no witnesses, it's technically not "stealing". I can't wait to put a giant bounty on my head.

Orrrrr... he could just be SAYING Windhelm, but really he'll go hit up someplace else while everyone is looking for him in Windhelm! ;)

Are the vendors going to accept stolen goods or are we going to have to look for fences?

You're going to have to look for fences. I expect the items will be untradeable to other players, and not able to be used in crafting either (or those two things would be loopholes in the system).

I am just glad that I can take my anger out on orc guards that say stuff like "Thats not you I smell, is it?" as I walk past them, not even looking at them. Essentially, rude guards will be put to the sword!

@Babylon Not usable in crafting?.. what happened to "I nicked the lady's tiara, pulled the gems out, melted down the silver, got a mate to make a bracelet with 'em, sold it darn the market!"
I don't see how this is a "loop hole" when it's perfectly acceptable method of disposing of stolen goods and you don't get "full" value.

P.S. @Charles_cavinub17_ESO you are NOT invited to the Tartiflette evening.

Well a player could run to a forge and melt the weap or whatever down to get his money back without needing to run off and find a fence, which makes it a little too easy, and exploitable. The whole point seemed to be that we'd need to leave the city and go find a fence rather than dispose of a stolen item quickly and easily.

And nipping into a closed house to "lunch" on a civilian is not "Quick and easy" for vampires.

I think the "theft" thing will probably end up being more like the Thieves guild equivalent of Bounties from the fighters guild - so it's more a case of "doing the job and bringing it home" than random theft and then finding something to do with it. But maybe that's just me being logical.

Yeah that's what I am hoping for as well - we get bounties through the guild with set targets, then hand those in to gain levels in the guild.

I wonder if guilds will be made like "Guards of Daggerfall" or "Thieves of Daggerfall" and have those guild names be put to literal meaning. Probably...

I will be at Glenumbra at first. Then i move on to Stormhaven. I won't kill anyone, just steal everything of value. Won't get a bounty though as i am a crafty thief with patience.

The College of Illusion hides me and fuddles or pacifies my opponents. The College of Mysticism detects my object, reflects and dispels enemy spells, and makes good my escape. The key to a nightblade's success is avoidance, by spell or by stealth; with these skills, all things are possible."
